Advantages: Reduces discolourations on teeth, fresh breath Disadvantages: I don't know what those microcrystals are for
Hands up who smokes? I bet there are a fair few of you. I am included in that mind you.
The fact is I enjoy a cigarette, I don’t smoke like a trooper, nor do I smoke for social reasons. I smoke because I enjoy it. Now, apart from the obvious health reasons associated with smoking, you also have, so I’m told, smelly clothes. Washing them solves that problem. Stained fingers, bleaching them solves that problem. Now, apart from the obvious health reasons associated with smoking, you also have, so I’m told, smelly clothes. Washing them solves that problem. Stained fingers, bleaching them solves that problem. The thing though that gets me down is my teeth. How do we solve this? Get some ‘Colgate Whitening with microcrystals’ that’s what.
So why did I purchase this particular toothpaste? The brand? No. The recommendations? No. Actually it was the price. Special offer in Boots, 2 for 2 pounds. Now that is out of the way lets get down to the nitty gritty.
The tube itself is white, with a silver oblong band down the centre. Inside this band is a red box and written inside this in white writing it says ‘Colgate whitening with microcrystals’. The tube is about 3 ½ inches long and holds 100ml of the toothpaste. On the back of the tube it states that if children are under 7 years old they must use a pea sized amount for supervised brushing. If your using fluoride supplements conslt your dentist. Well I don’t fall into either category so I’m safe to brush alone and do so without consulting my dentist.
At the end of the tube is a flip top cap. It’s easy to open and close. The colour of the toothpaste is white and to touch it is smooth. Now for some reason I thought it might be a little gritty, perhaps because of the inclusion of those ‘Microcrystals, but no, it’s smooth.
The smell is, go on guess, yeah you’ve guessed it, minty. Strong and fresh smelling. Extra strong mints are what I’m going to compare it to.
Right, the most important part, the brushing.
I load my toothbrush up with a decent amount of the paste and brush as normal. The taste is strong and minty, almost giving me the feeling that my tongue is burning, but once a little water is added the sensation mellows a little and gives a sense if tingling on my tongue and gums. I brush for about 2 minutes and rinse. Normally mouthwash follows this routine, but for the purpose of this opinion I’m omitting it today.
The aftertaste
Again minty, and fresh. My teeth feel as if I’ve just left the dentist. Then I do the most insane thing ever and go and have a cigarette. I may as well be smoking menthol though because that minty taste has still not left me.
The fresh breath test. I’m going to shout of Lianne to give her a kiss, not that I want to but for the purpose of this opinion I will. She’s moaning now, no not like that, but because I have disturbed her with her dodgy knee. She’s here, give me a minute.
The verdict?
Fresh and minty, with a hint of cigarette smoke. So, I’ll take it that if you don’t smoke the feshness will stay with you longer. I’m talking like this is the first time I’ve used this toothpaste. Well no, I bought it about a month ago, and I’ve certainly noticed a difference in my teeth. The stains, actually stains is the wrong word. The overall colour of my teeth has brightened, the discolouration of my teeth has diminished somewhat and I’m left with brighter, healthier looking teeth and gums.
The freshness lasts a while and I’m a smoker, so I do think that if you don’t smoke the 'fresh breath confidence' (I nicked that from an advert) will last a good deal longer.
Definitely recommended by me.
The price as a singular tube without any special offers is around 1.39 GBP.
Advantages: Tasty, easy to use, looks good Disadvantages: Bit pricey!
...put it under the wrong Colgate heading!) is the Colgate Triple Cool Stripe Fluoride toothpaste. Packaging
This variety comes in a hard round bottle, about 8 inches tall, and about 1 1/2 inches in diameter (sound familiar ladies?!?!) The bottle has a flat base, so can be stood on a shelf or cabinet. It is predominantly red with Colgate written diagonally up the bottle. Triple Cool tripe is printed in blue and white at the top, just below the cap. ... ...name!)…a white stripe (your basic Colgate toothpaste), a dark blue stripe (very similar to Colgate Blue Minty Gel that used to be on the market) and a light blue stripe. Each stripe has a slightly different flavour to it, and as the proportion of each stripe that comes out can vary, you will get a slightly different taste every time! The dark blue stripe is much more gel-like, and has the sweetest flavour, whereas the light blue stripe seems ...

Colgate have been around for years.
The ads in ye olde days used to have pretty chicks and handsome guys with a ring of confidence round them..

Advantages: Minty taste, Tooth and Gum Protection Disadvantages: None
The Colgate Cavity Protection toothpaste with Calcium I am to write about, I think, is a great way of keeping your teeth clean. Another plus is that your gums are protected.
The active ingredients are:
Sodium Monoflourophophate 0.76% w/w (1000 ppmF)
USP Sodium Floride 0.1% w/w (450ppmF) Ph Eur
Other ingredients are:
Dicalcium Phosphate Dihydrate, Glycerine Ph Eur, Sorbitol Ph Eur, Cellulose Gum Ph Eur, PEG-12,Sodium Lauryl Sulphate PH Eur., ... ...have found that by using Colgate Cavity Protection, the Flouride that is in this toothpaste has actually reduced what I have had to have done at the dentist, which is not a bad thing (unless, of course, you are a dentist trying to earn a living). The after taste left behind by using this toothpaste is of a minty one. I like this taste, as some of the other toothpastes I have tried do not have this.
Even younger children can use this toothpaste, ...

...~WHAT DOES IT DO?~
Colgate Triple Cool Stripe Cavity Protection is a dental toothpaste for your teeth. The toothpaste has three layers for three different things. Fresh Breath, Strong White Teeth and Maximum Cavity Protection. The light blue layer is for a Fresh Breath. So its not like "Shreks" from the film shrek! To avoid that, do this. So after a meal, just say "Excuse me im going to the toilet" and quickly brush your teeth. Then they think your ... ...and fresh! The white layer is to make your teeth stronger and whiter. It will you even see the strength just by looking at them! But when i had lightly yellow teeth i wanted to started taking care of them, so when i saw this i thought why not give it a try. Why don't you?!
The dark blue layer is for the Maximum Cavity Protection. But why maximum protection? Because your teeth need them so they don't turn yellow and that they fall out! You will think ...

The Tube
The tube is a white plastic and consists of a red plastic button on the top which squirts the toothpaste out; it also has a clear plastic lid. The front is in red and blue and includes the brand name also that it has cavity protection, strengthens teeth, freshens breath and it has fluoride in it with calcium. On the back is info about the product, directions for use, ingredients, the address in the UK and Ireland, the recycle symbol and ... ...My Opinion
I got this toothpaste because at the time it was cheap, it’s not what I usually get but I had ran out of my normal and it wasn’t on offer, so I thought I would get this until my favourite was back on offer. So once home I used it that night to clean my teeth, I found the pump at the top of the tube easy to press and found the right amount of toothpaste came out. It was thick and a white opaque colour and smelled like spearmint. I then ...

My husband does some of our shopping, and lately buys most of our toiletries. When I looked in the bathroom cupboard and saw this product, I thought 'Wow, another new invention by Colgate. I have used Colgate Herbal, Total Care, Triple CavityProtection and I think Colgate Oxygen is the best so far. I was pleasantly surprised!
Colgate Oxygen Toothpaste manufactured by Colgate-Palmolive comes in a light blue and red pack. The toothpaste is a 100ml of light blue gel with dark blue flakes inside much like confetti in blue jelly (which may be exciting to the young and the young at heart). It gently lifts away plaque and food particles leaving your teeth literally squeaky clean with fresh breath and a confident smile.
One may wonder what it is about Colgate Oxygen that makes it better than some toothpastes in the market. Well, I have ...
I know that toothpaste might not be the most exciting thing to review but we all need it and after suffering throughout my teenage years with really sensitive teeth and requiring a fair bit of dental treatment I have tried many different products and brands.
After moving into my own house I have to say that I was swayed by the cost of items such as toothpaste so would always go looking for the cheaper brands or whatever had the 'special offer' next to it on the shelves of Tesco!
I am now trying to go for brand and product delivery and at present I am using Colgate Toothpaste, in particular the CavityProtection. I am trying to look after my teeth from an early age especially as I had so much trouble with them when I was younger I do understand I need to look after them.
Colgate is a multi-national company founded way back in ...
