I chose the blue model as it matches the interior design of my bathroom :) Sorry, to be one of those sad indivuals who colour co-ordinates seemingly unimportant things, and yes i'm also one those geeks who buys matching wallpaper to toilet paper. [hangs head in shame].
I find that it wasn't a bad purchase for the money, it does 20,000 vibrations a minute - not surprisingly then i found that after having brushed with this only once - I could feel the difference between grubby teeth and the clean ones this brush leaves you with - but I suppose this can be done with any toothbrush however this model can boast the fact that it adds a 'buzz' aspect to Daily brushing! :)
I have had this toothbrush for 3 weeks now and I use a whitening toothpaste with it. I have found that compared to manual toothbrushes my teeth actually appear whiter. I think this is probably due to the fact that the more 'buzzing' or movement over the teeth means the bleaching agents are able to act on the tooth enamel quicker as buzzing removes plaque quicker so more time for bleaching action to actually be in contact.
It's actually quite noisey incomparison with my old electric tooth brush which was a Braun simple rotator toothbrush which you had to put on charge every night. This one is better in the sense that you can brush, rinse and put it away immediately in the cupboard. But the weird triangular shaped bottom means you can't stand it up, and the chunky shape means you can't put it inside a toothbrush holder to keep it clean either. I have to wrap it up everynight in a piece of kitchen towel. Not only is this costly, but also quite inconvient.
The bristles are in all kinds of angles to make sure the debris from your food and the plaque on your teeth is reached at all angles. The handle is shaped so it's easy to grip and is moulded to the shape of your palm.
Overall 3* - as is a fairly gimmicky product, major down falls are the chunky shape and the fact that THE BRUSH HEAD IS NOT REPLACEABLE! Total pain. But as a toothbrush it's okay if you want the benefit of an electric toothbrushed mouth without having to spend £50 on a fancy top of the range model.
...just caught sight of the Colgate Micro Power toothbrush out of the corner of my eye. I wasn`t sure whether it would be a gimmick, whether it would have any more benefit than using a manual. Also I would lose my BOGOF meaning, not only would I only get one toothbrush for the price of one, it also meant paying a bit more. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, so I put back the BOGOF ones and picked this up. Once home, I couldn`t wait to try it.

The Micro Sonic Power toothbrush is made by Colgate. It looks just like a manual toothbrush. The thing setting it aside from a normal manual toothbrush, is that the head vibrates, the handle houses a AAA battery to power this. The head does not actually move, it is not like an electric toothbrush, it just vibrates. High speed sonic vibrations gently clean teeth, remove plaque and massage your gums. The vibrating head combines high-speed ...

Advantages: Price, clean feeling, tongue and cheek cleaner Disadvantages: N/A
I am quite easily swayed, if I see an advert I few times I really begin to think that I need the product. I recently chucked my old Oral B Pulsar as we getting a bit worn out. I wanted to find a similar brush and guess what I saw an advert for ? the Colgate 360° MicroSonic. I really like these type of toothbrushes, fairly modern battery powered.
So the unique selling point of the Colgate 360° MicroSonic is that on the reverse side of the brush head there is a cheek and tongue cleaner. ?Removes more plaque and bacteria (overall bacteria vs. brushing teeth alone with a flat-trim toothbrush) for a healthier whole mouth clean!?
- Outstanding sonic cleaning power
- Combines high speed sonic vibrations with multi - height bristles to remove more plaque than an ordinary manual toothbrush
- Tongue and cheek cleaner
