My experience of Colgate oxygen is this…
Upon opening the outer cardboard box I find a 50ml squidgy plasticy tube of Colgate Oxygen toothpaste. The tube contains the same information as on the outer box which is detailed below and also carries the same design as the box. I will point out at this point that the toothpaste can also be purchased in 150ml tubes too. Back to my 50ml tube, I flicked the lid open nice and easy and gently squeezed the toothpaste onto my toothbrush (the one I reviewed not long ago!) and was pleasantly surprised by the smell and colour of it. The smell was a mild minty smell, which for once was not too overpowering as I have found other toothpastes to be. The colour of the toothpaste is a nice blue gel with darker blue little bead like particles in it. These are supposed to represent the oxygen bubbles about to be released into your mouth. I then flicked the lid shut nice and easy. The lid is that easy to open and close my little two-year-old brother James managed it and also managed to put it all over the bathroom sink when he was in his words “teef, teef!” (Translation to adult language as brushing his teeth!) Lovely clean up job for big sister!
Now for the taste. Many toothpastes I have had before I have found to be very minty, even the so-called mild mint flavours, so I was expecting the same sort of strength with this, however I was again pleasantly surprised. Yes, there is a mint taste there but it is really very mild and I would describe it as being actually quite nice!
While brushing I noticed the gel foamed up well, in fact it foamed up really well, so well I had to spit half of it out before I’d finished brushing! After brushing my teeth for about two – three minutes I did the usual rinse my mouth out and decided to have a bit of an inspection to see how well this product had worked.
The Results: My mouth felt lovely and clean, it had a great fresh feeling. I felt no urge to re-brush, as I have been known to do when I don’t think my mouth is clean enough! The great thing I noticed about brushing with this toothpaste is there was no nasty after-taste that lingers around, instead there was just the fresh feeling which stays for ages, but I don’t mind that as it is nice! While I’m on the subject of tastes, have you ever eaten anything after you’ve just brushed your teeth? It tastes really bad doesn’t it? Well, a little fact is you’re not supposed to eat for about half an hour after you brush as your teeth are less protected being as you have just brushed all the bad stuff and some of the good stuff off them, but if like me you don’t have time in the morning to wait half an hour before you eat then that rule goes out the window and usually you are stuck with a nasty taste for the first few mouthfuls of whatever you are eating. However I have found that as I am eating my toast with tomato ketchup on while I am driving to work in the morning, that there isn’t really that much of a bad taste, you do still get a slight hint of toothpaste taste but compared to most I have tried this is by far the best. Anyway out of the tastes and toast and tomato sauce, how do my teeth look? Well to me I think they have improved 110%! They look whiter and feel smoother… leaving my mouth 110% kissable! ;)

These three points are backed up with three pictures with explanations of each underneath, they are as follows:
As you brush, great-tasting gel re-leases fine bubbles of pure oxygen – This is supported by a picture of the toothpaste gel.
Plaque and impurities are gently lifted away – This is supported by a picture of teeth surrounded by bubbles.
Feel a new sensation of pure clean freshness… like a breath of fresh air! – This is supported by a picture of a mouth breathing a breath of fresh air.
The fourth side is full of information about the toothpaste, including directions for use, ingredients, a helpline phone number and the address and website to contact Colgate-Palmolive.
The information on the packet is quite helpful, it basically tells you about the toothpaste and how it cleans your teeth by releasing bubbles of pure oxygen, which gently lift plaque and nastiness away to give you breath as fresh as fresh air.
The directions for use are useful if you are under 7! I will quote you the directions printed on the packet: “For children under 7 years use a pea-sized amount fro supervised brushing to minimise swallowing.” There is nothing on the box to suggest this product is only for children and I bought it from the section containing the adult toothpastes. Underneath the kids’ instructions is a biggish gap, which would suggest to me that adult instructions should be there but have been missed off! I would say just use however much you usually use, it works for me!
Underneath the gap I just mentioned there is a list of ingredients. I will type this out for you so if you do have any allergies or anything you can read these here to save you reading them in the shop!

Price: £1.09. I thought this was quite expensive for a 50ml tube because the other 50ml Colgate toothpastes were priced between 95p and 99p. So I am presuming it is because it is a new and better product that it is more expensive! The 150ml tube was priced at £1.99.
Where Can You Buy It: At the moment I have only seen this for sale in Boots, I would imagine you can get it in most other retailers soon though as and when they update their products.
Do’s: Do buy it as it really works and does what it says it should.
Don’ts: Don’t let a two year old who is trying to be a grown up like you near it as you end up with a mess!
Would I Buy This Again? YES!! And I think you should too!

Colgate 'Oxygen' toothpaste is produced by Colgate-Palmolive. It was the Colgate comapny that first produced 'toothpaste in a tube' (c1896), previous to that it was kept in a jar, no doubt next to their false teeth lol.
The Packaging
A light bluse box over laid with red at one end with the Colgate logo in white on top with pictures of bubbles at the other end. I brought the 100ml tube for £2.00 at superdrug. To be honest ... ...offers.
On the box Colgate claim's that this toothpaste provides
* Prue Freshness
* Long lasting fresh breath
* Care and Protection for your teeth and gums
But it's biggest claim is that it 'gently' lifts away plaque and impurities by the oxygen in the toothpaste.
The Taste
The toothpaste has a flip lid and the blue gel has quite a pleasant minty taste, well I liked it. Within the toothpaste gel there are what appears to be little 'specs' ...

Colgate is undoubtedly one of the most established brands of toothpaste in the UK and indeed worldwide. But did you know the company is 200 years old? No neither did I - just take a look at their website if you don't believe me! When it comes to toothpaste, I am loyal to two main brands - Aquafresh and Colgate. I tend to buy several tubes of whichever one happens to be on offer when I go shopping. My latest purchase was two tubes of Colgate Oxygen ... ...my usual Aquafresh toothpaste.
Colgate Oxygen toothpaste comes in a standard sized box, with the Colgate logo embossed across the front. To the right of this are the words 'Oxygen Pure Freshness' and in the background are lots of small blue bubbles. The toothpaste even has its own slogan: 'For a clean, fresh mouth...Like a breath of fresh air!' The toothpaste makes three bold claims. ...offers when shopping and seeing Colgate Oxygen on a BOGOF in my local supermarket a few months ago I decided to give it a try. I rarely buy Colgate due to it being quite a bit more expensive than other brands but since one tube worked out at just 97p for 100ml it was the same as the usual 'cheaper' brands I use.

After having used Colgate Oxygen for a couple of weeks, I stopped using the Eycryl toothpowder in the mornings and a week after that, I stopped using it every evening too and now I use it just once a week ( as a sort of "top up" - more out of habit - I can't quite get used to not having to using it at all just yet).
Colgate in it's own right is a well known and trusted brand and one of just a couple of brands I have used for years, I ... ...not this one. .
Colgate Oxygen is a pale blue gel and it has a lovely gentle mint flavour and the smell is a quiet minty smell too, a really good point is that it doesn't foam too much - don't you just hate those toothpaste drips? Another really good point is that little flip top cap that it has, so easy to use and stops my "insignificant other" leaving the top off which always happens with a screw top toothpaste. Colgate Oxygen Toothpaste manufactured by Colgate-Palmolive comes in a light blue and red pack. The toothpaste is a 100ml of light blue gel with dark blue flakes inside much like confetti in blue jelly (which may be exciting to the young and the young at heart). It gently lifts away plaque and food ... ...wonder what it is about Colgate Oxygen that makes it better than some toothpastes in the market. Well, I have tried quite a number of toothpastes especially Colgate's, and some tend to leave your teeth fuzzy by late afternoon, but this product gives you fuzz-free teeth for much longer.
Another plus is that those who are prone to bleeding gums and perhaps gingivitis would find this product quite protective. It also has a pleasant taste.

My 1st Colgate (for under 7s)

Not the best toothpaste I have used. I like a toothpaste that not only cleans my 'gnashers' but leaves a long lasting fresh feeling in my mouth, the latter of which this dental paste doesn't do.
This is apparently a new improved version of the basic cavity protection toothpaste previously marketed by Colgate. If this is the improved version, I wouldn't have been happy with the basic one.
However?. Enough of my grumbles! For 50p per tube, I really can't complain. Had I paid full price, despite it only being £1.18, I wouldn't have been that chuffed.
It certainly isn't so awful that I won't finish both tubes but I don't find it as efficient as some of the other toothpastes such as Aquafresh and ColgateOxygen.
Good enough for 50p for not over ...
Advantages: Good for children, helps them develop through teething stage. Disadvantages: Isn't aimed at adult audience. Age 0-2 and 2-6 seem the same.

We probably all know and recognise Colgate as a toothpaste brand, ranging from ColgateOxygen to Colgate sensitive. Colgate smiles is a product specifically designed to attract the children audience, with some suited to 0-2 year olds, some to 2-6, and then 6+.
This product can be located in virtually any decent shop/supermarket you may not even have to ask for toothpaste, just by saying ''could I have some Colgate" should be a satisfactory request. That is unless you are living in Spain.. in that case I would just translate toothpaste into Spanish. The word toothpaste in Spanish means to ''hang yourself," instead of handing you some fine toothpaste they may just give you a rope!
Although my favourite brand of toothpaste is probably Colgate Triple Cool Stripe, I have been able to acquire one of these ...
