Whilst recently doing my shopping at Tesco, I saw the "Colgate Oxygen" toothpaste and decided to give it a try. Well I have been using it for just over a month now and am I impressed - you bet I am.
Now being one of those most anti-social of people - a smoker...... I usually brush my teeth twice, both morning and evening, once with Eucryl toothpowder and once with a normal toothpaste. After having used Colgate Oxygen for a couple of weeks, I stopped using the Eycryl toothpowder in the mornings and a week after that, I stopped using it every evening too and now I use it just once a week ( as a sort of "top up" - more out of habit - I can't quite get used to not having to using it at all just yet).
Colgate in it's own right is a well known and trusted brand and one of just a couple of brands I have used for years, I have found that some of their toothpastes are rather strong in taste but not this one. .
Colgate Oxygen is a pale blue gel and it has a lovely gentle mint flavour and the smell is a quiet minty smell too, a really good point is that it doesn't foam too much - don't you just hate those toothpaste drips? Another really good point is that little flip top cap that it has, so easy to use and stops my "insignificant other" leaving the top off which always happens with a screw top toothpaste.
The "blurb" tells you that as you brush your teeth the gel releases tiny bubbles of pure oxygen which lifts paque and impurities gently away and leaves a sensation of pure clean freshness. If I was really pushed, I could argue with "pure" '(does anyone really know what all of those ingredients are). Now I'm no scientist, but I do know this toothpaste works for me and that's what matters.
Colgate Oxygen leaves my teeth feeling and looking great and my mouth fresh without having to use a "smokers" toothpaste as well. I could wish for a longer lasting freshness. but being a smoker, I suppose I only have myself to blame for that.
How do you spot it ?
The packaging is characteristic of Colgate, on three sides it has the broad red stripe with the Colgate name inside it, the background being pale blue and on the base are the usual instructions for use and the ingredients.
How much does it cost ?
I paid £1.68 for a 100ml tube and worth every penny.
Would I buy it again ?
You bet, this toothpaste is permanant addition to my shopping list.
