Panasonic TX28PL10
Advantages: Widescreen, Different view modes (16.9, 4.3, panasonic auto) Disadvantages: Size
...can not only control you panasonic vcr and dvd player but also change the view mode with just one button.
It features 16.9 and 4.3 plus panasonic automatic which will hopefully change mode to program.
It is a great buy even though it size is mind blowing.
It also wieghs an aboslute ton!
But as i said earlier it is a worthwhile buy that is a great alternative to plasma and HD ready tvs.
You can pick one up quite cheaply and because it is panasonic ...

Clouds on the horizon
Advantages: Large, solid and not too ugly Disadvantages: Heavy. Patchy picture
...100Hz TV such as this Panasonic 28" model. However, if you care about picture quality (as I do more than I thought I did) you would probably find yourself dissatisfied (as I have) with the particular example of this TV I purchased from Robertson's Online towards the end of last year. The general standard of the picture is good: its steady, sharp and flicker-free with good colour and contrast. However, there are dark, cloudy patches which look like ... ...anything on the outer surface. These patches become particularly evident when a camera pans horizontally as the patches stay still: rather like the effect of looking out of a grubby train window.
As well as these random 'dirty' patches there are several dark vertical lines as well as what appears to be a dark border of about 3" at the left and right of the screen. All of this may be quite normal for a widescreen TV but I am quite sure the cloudy ...

Long live CRT!
Advantages: Excellent picture quality and sound Disadvantages: Ok it's bigger than an LCD or plasma...
...word for CRT tvs. My Panasonic 28" widescreen tv has a sharper, clearer, more colourful and contrast-rich picutre than even the most expensive Plasma and doesn't suffer from any of the pixellation or problems with fast moving scenes such as sport that plagues LCDs and Plasmas.
I'm not sure whether no one else notices or it's a case of "king's new clothes" and no one dares mention that , while their new tv looks very futuristic and sci-fi flat, actually ... ...may look passable (though the contrast ratios make night scenes grey rather than black) but standard definition Freeview broadcasts, especially on the more compressed channels such as ITV3, are frankly awful. Watch the Champions League on ITV on Freeview and you'll soon be longing for a smaller screen - or your old CRT back from the tip!
I can't believe that home cinema pruists will keep quiet forever and Ifor one do not think we have seen the last ...

THE BRIGHT BOX.
Advantages: GOOD QUALITY PICTURE, ROBOST AND STRONG. Disadvantages: CHUNKY.
Panasonic was previously known as national in the 70' and 80' and even in the early 90's but as time went on, there was a revolution in name that later turned the name from national to Panasonic. Well this is a very fantastic television that produces one of the best pictures around. Quite robust and strong and I have used this for quite some time now. It has techies that are easy to use and manipulate. It has very nice contrast settings that will ... ...of two speakers subwoofer, the Panasonic television can now boast of having very efficient sound and loud effects. The audio controls have at about three controls that consist of bass, treble and balance. But to achieve a comfortable sound system, suggest you put it on the balance audio.
VIDEO SYSTEM
The television has proven to be the best to me because what I really like most in televisions is the NTSC playback on pal televisions. With the provision ...

A year down the line
Advantages: Lovely Appearence and finish Disadvantages: Only having two scart sockets
...title suggests I bought the Panasonic TX32PL10 about 1 year ago from the John Lewis store in Peterborough. I had been considering the purchase of a new TV for some time but the choice and variation of models was a tad overwhelming, (something akin to a child in a sweet shop).Having seen a review in What Video & TV magazine, I decided that was the TV for me
Purchasing the TV
At the time of purchase the TV was on sale for £1050. With the help of ... ...magazine to confirm the price including delivery, stock availability and the location of their shop so I could view the aforementioned TV. Armed with these details I went to John Lewis and asked them to price match the said item for me. 1 month later I accepted delivery of the TV, not for the £1050 as offered in the shop but for £750, which included delivery and a 5-year warranty.
