Simple to use combined DVD/VCR
Review of Samsung DVD V6700 by
gadget_hound
Advantages: Easy to use, quick operation, good quality playback
Disadvantages: Remote control buttons small, front panel display small and basic
The Samsung DVD-V6700S (UK version) comes in attractive silver and is quite a wide unit as it supports both DVD playing and video tape recording/playing. The unit height is low, giving a slim appearance, but make sure you have room for the width.
A good number of digital/analogue I/O (including on the front panel) allows it to be connected in many combinations to other equipment.
Video/sound quality is good, including tape recording/playback.
... ...to see from across the room, though there's not much information on it.
Remote control buttons are small with the legends difficult to see if your eyesight is not so good. Operation is straightforward though.
The on-screen menus aren't too well arranged but it doesn't take too long to understand them.
TV channel setup is automatic and works really well. The NTSC (North American TV) setup didn't correspond with the manual, so I'm not sure how this ...

Beware of hidden costs
Review of Archos 605 WiFi 160 GB by
chaizak
Advantages: More functions than any other player on the market
Disadvantages: Have to pay for almost everything extra
I bought Archos 605 WiFi for two reasons at first instead of other MP3-MP4 players because of it's WiFi browser capabilities and the Linux system it operates but I found myself with a surprise when I received it.
The got my MP4 player charged it through the usb cable provided and the tried to connect it to the internet but it said I had to buy the internet browser from the website. After much thought I bought it for 30 euros and did regret it the ... ...have been officially released from Archos to get more you have to be copy them manually from the opera widgets website to the device but still they work fine.
About the Linux system the fact that they mention it is a joke probably from archos since the system is so custom that you can't run/develop any application for it so I wouldn't consider it as a Plus anymore but it's very reliable with hardly any crushes.
Another plus when you buy this Archos ...

Great for a spare TV
Review of NETGEAR Digital Entertainer HD EVA8000 by
6heads
Advantages: HD footage anywhere in the house, quality
Disadvantages: wi-fi not always capable of HD streaming
A great addition to any HD tv you may have in your house, perfect for a secondary TV such as a bedroom this will allow you to stream from your PC to the TV over wifi in HD. Although there isn't exactly what could be considered a huge amount of HD on the net you are legally allowed to rip Blu-Ray/HD-DVD movies.
Streaming devices for music and standard definition video have been around for a couple of years now and have done their job perfectly, it ... ...reasonable prices. The EVA8000 coming in at just below £200 is a lot cheaper than a blu-ray player with more features.
Connections:
-Scart
-S-Video
-Component Video
-A 1080i HDMI socket (although this will be upgraded to 1080p via new firmware)
-Phono Output
- Coax and Optical Digital outs
-Ethernet Jack
-USB
The EVA offers two different ways to stream the footage, wi-fi or Ethernet, I would definitely recommend using Ethernet if possible ...

It doesn't do dishes but it records DVDs.
Review of Samsung DVD VR350 by
sadoldbag
Advantages: Good range of features for the price
Disadvantages: not HD ready, no Freeview, I've seen sexier machines
Around Christmas time DH and I decided it was time to give up on using the old VHS to record things, and this was compounded by the integral-to-the TV DVD player packing up (review available - DMTech LQ 20X). Since we've just taken out a subscription to LoveFilm.com
(Review also available LOL) we needed a DVD player, and with all those great films on over Christmas (er, shome mishktate shurely, ED), one that recorded seemed the perfect answer. Why ... ...so you can still watch those old Bond movies ....It cost me £180, but I think you can get it cheaper now. It records to DVDs, but doesn't have a hard drive. It doesn't support HD. But then I don't have an HD telly or box, so that doesn't worry me at the moment.
It's black and grey (like brushed aluminium things best myself) but is not offensive to look at. Being dual purpose it is quite bulky compared to a straightforward DVD player.
It doesn't ...

*Sandisk Photo Album*
Review of Sandisk Photo Album by
mightyd
Advantages: View images on a large screen straight away
Disadvantages: Remote Control buttons doesn't always fix things
...But not only does the Sandisk photo album connect to television sets, it of course connects to computers, as also being a 8 - in 1 card reader. It will easily connect to Microsoft Windows computers and amazingly and conveniently works on Apple Mac computers as well so it's fully functional!

Right, this is what you're waiting for. The price! Well it is in fact as low as £27.99. Which seriously is a must ... ...you had it right in your home. When people come round for dinner you can show them your wedding pictures or your holidays in the sun. Definitely worth a try if not a buy.
Well thanks for reading my review and please leave positive feedback. I would really appreciate it if you could possibly have a look at my other reviews as well.
Thanks =D
