Ok so it's a combo. It's old but I'm going to review it anyway-give it a chance. Firstly-the look. Well it's not an amazing look but to be honest I don't care that much as it saves a lot of space. Picture and sound are about average for sony-which means better than the average DVD-VCR combo. ...it up but the main advantage of this is the fact it's a combo which boasts everthing you'd expect from a VCR (Video+) and a DVD player (great picture and sound) but in one-meaning-for me-only one scart lead-freeing up the other on you're TV for other things (games consoles etc). It is this factor and the relatively cheap price of £100 these days that would make me recommend this to anyone. ... Read review

Disadvantages: Dodgy menus, very disk fussy, lousy DVD burner that will fail.

...eventually replaced the DVD burner in mine with a Liteon 20X unit for about £16. This solved the problem, and for the moment, it's been working perfectly.
