So Speaky HDMI 500GB Multimedia Player is great value for money!

I bought this product for my dad for Christmas. It was to save me having to burn films for him and save on dvd clutter. Firstly, when i opened the box i was pleasently surprised as even though i thought the multimedia hdd looked good in internet pictures i thought it looked a lot more stylish in 'person'. EVA 9150-great addition to my living room; not to my bank

Advantages: Massive file range, incredible wireless networking, quiet, looks good
Disadvantages: Simply too costly right now - extra features do not justify price

This machine is fantastic - it has even converted the wife who is as Luddite as they come. Its connection speeds with my router are pheomenal, using the n-standard, and I've been able to stream HD video from my router upstairs to this downstairs effortlessly. Misses out Windows Media Centre altogether (good thing!) and simply indexes your shared folders on whatever is your server. For me, I have a 1TB MyBook attached to my router and this works perfectly. ...
