Disadvantages: too many repeated repeats

UK Gold? Golden Oldies? They're certainly not joking. I was really disappointed in this channel and its partner, UK Gold 2. Paramount for Comedy

Advantages: Good classic sitcoms
Disadvantages: Too many repeats

...It's pretty self explanatory really, Paramount is a comedy channel available via digital satellite and cable. It regularly shows many American sitcoms such as Sex and the City, Frasier and Two and a Half Men as well as repeats of British sitcoms and some standup shows. It often has some good standup from the Comedy Store which you don't get on many other channels as well as longer sets from comedians like Chris Rock. Play UK

Advantages: The odd good comedy
Disadvantages: Not much music, too many reviews and too much news

...only music/comedy channel in the UK was really set to take off but the comedy isn't great and there isn't enough music. Half of the time when I turnover there's interviews, reviews or adverts. The comedy aspect features shows such as 'The Royle Family' and 'The Fast Show', the comedy shows usually don't air until eight/nine o'clock at night with the majority of shows overall focusing on music. Advantages: A superb selection of good programmes, from years back and the more recent past.
Disadvantages: Not a whole lot!

Review of Granada Plus

What's all the drama about?!

Advantages: Good chance to see old programmes
Disadvantages: Available digital only, and only at certain times

...by the BBC, much like UK History or UK Gold. It is on Sky Channel 147 (recently changed from 146), NTL 305 and Telewest 147. The channel is on from 10pm until 5am. Get those video recorders ready! The channel is described by Sky "as compelling, engaging and emotionally absorbing." I have to disagree, even though I've only ever seen it at other people's houses! While there is the occasional gem in there, it is mostly all repeats of "classic" shows ...
