...attitude of the staff at Comet that I found mind-boggling. At around the same time I got the TV and Vid I bought a washing machine on Interest Free Credit, what they failed to mention is that when the interest free credit (six months) runs out, if you have not paid in full, they backdate the interest (at over 15 percent) to the day you bought the thing. ...thought I would try the Comet store in Carnegie Retail Park in Dunfermline. The salesman told me exactly the same it would take 7 to 10 days, and just as I was about to turn away dejected, he said 'But if you are happy to take the display model I'm sure we could help you.
