...I first bought Comfort Tropical Burst a month or so ago from Tesco's, the reason I immediately purchased it was because it was on a special introductory offer and only cost £0.95 for a massive 1.5litre bottle, which would last me well over a week considering it is much bigger than the usual 750ml bottles I tend to purchase.
As you can see from the picture at the top of this review the bottle of Fabric Softener is supplied in a tall ... ...only be found in the Comfort Concentrates range of products.
I really like Comfort Tropical Burst because it smells fantastic and it leaves my clothes feeling soft. None of the kids or my husband or I have suffered any kind of reaction from using this product so it is kind to our skin as well. I think that the product is great value for money and one which I will continue to purchase and use regularly. You can purchase the Comfort ... more
I love fabric softeners and I always add some to each and every wash I do; simply because I like the added softness on my clothes and the fact that the fabric softeners fragrance the clothes too. I usually do two or three separate washes per day, which is understandable considering there are three kids and two adults in our house hold, not to mention 2 dogs and 2 cats who are just as messy as the kids. On average I could easily polish off 2 full bottles of fabric softener in 10 days or so, I like to use different fragranced fabric softeners regularly; usually I purchase 2 bottles of fabric softener per week to cope with the massive amounts of washing I tend to do daily. When I go to Tesco's I just pick out two different fragranced fabric softeners, I don't usually bother which brand I choose because I think that most of them are the same apart from the fragrance. Sometimes ill just choose a bottle simply because I like the colour of the fabric softener inside it; a bit weird I know but hey each to their own. I suppose you can say that I'm as addicted to fabric softeners as I am to perfumes. I first bought Comfort Tropical Burst a month or so ago from Tesco's, the reason I immediately purchased it was because it was on a special introductory offer and only cost £0.95 for a massive 1.5litre bottle, which would last me well over a week considering it is much bigger than the usual 750ml bottles I tend to purchase.
As you can see from the picture at the top of this review the bottle of Fabric Softener is supplied in a tall see through plastic bottle, which has a curvy shape to it. On the top of the bottle there is a bright orange screw on/off lid which also acts as a measuring guide so as you know how much of the liquid to add to each wash. On the front of the bottle there is a tear drop shaped label which indeed tells us the name of the product and the fragrance. Just like most of the other fabric softeners on the market there is also a label on the back of the bottle which tells us the list of ingredients and how to use the product etc.
The fabric softener inside the bottle is a gorgeous creamy orange colour which also looks really vibrant and summery. I think that this particular fabric softener is a lot more eye catching that the others they sell in supermarkets because of the bright coloured liquid and the label on the bottle. I really like the fact that the fabric softener is clearly visible through the bottle because you can easily see how much of the liquid you are using and how much is remaining inside the bottle.
Now using the product is really easy, all you have to do is take the cap off the bottle and fill it with the fabric softener and then pour it into the correct compartment on your washing machine. I pour mines into the middle compartment in the washing machine drawer, other washing machines might be different and you might need to pour it into a different compartment in your drawer. As I stated above it is recommended that you use one capful of the fabric softener per wash; but I never measure it out, I just open the bottle and pout some of the liquid into the compartment in my washing machine, it's a far more quicker method than measuring it out especially if your always rushing about like me.
As soon as the washing is finished and you open the door on the washing machine you can smell the fresh tropical smell from the fabric softener. It isn't an overpowering aroma, more of a subtle fresh clean fruity aroma. When the washing is wet and just out of the machine the aroma is faint but when your washing is dry the tropical aroma is a lot stronger and vibrant. I think that the clothes smell better if you dry them outside on the washing line because the fresh air always makes washing smell better.
I love the smell from the fabric softener because it is fresh, fruity and sweet. I think that the fabric softener mainly smells of juicy mangoes which is accompanied with the fresh scent of peaches and cream; although you an smell an ever so slight coconut hint through the peach and mango which gives the aroma a sweet edge and more depth. The smell of the fabric softener lingers on your clothes for a while after you have washed them, I would say that the scent from the fabric softener lingers on the clothes and bedding for well over a week after you have initially washed them which is really good considering most other fabric softeners only leave your clothes scented for a short while before the fragrance fades away.
The reason the aroma from the fabric softener lingers on your washing for such a long time is because the product contains Fresh Release Technology; which means that the fabric softener releases tiny fragrance beads into your clothes during washing. The Fresh Release Technology can only be found in the Comfort Concentrates range of products.
You can purchase the Comfort Tropical Burst from most supermarkets although the price may vary depending on where you purchase it from. I purchase mines from Tesco's although my mum has bought a bottle and she got hers from ASDA.
There are two different sized bottles available to purchase; which are ~
750ml which costs approximately £1.20 and should last for approximately 20 washes.
1.5 litre bottle which costs approximately £2.40 and should last for approximately 40 washes.
As well as the Tropical Burst fragrance you can also purchase Tempting nature which is a green coloured liquid as opposed to the orange. If you would like to sample the Tropical Burst or Tempting Nature fabric softener before deciding to purchase it then you can request a free sample from the website.

...some samples of the new Comfort fabric softeners - one of which is the Tropical Burst fragrance, so I have used it on my last few washes.
~About the Product~
This fabric softener is a vibrant orange in colour and is concentrated, meaning you need to use less in every wash. As you may have seen from rival brand Lenor's adverts, concentrated fabric softeners are also greener as they come in smaller bottles, therefore less air-polluting lorries are ... ...has 'Fresh Release Technology' which Comfort say works by infusing tiny beads of fragrance into your clothes. This means that each time you move, your clothes release 'a burst of freshness'. ~Packaging~
My samples came as sachets, but if you buy it, it comes in a clear plastic bottle, featuring a picture of a woman (annoyingly gorgeous of course!), laughing and she seems to be surrounded by what looks like fruit and leaves! ~Using it~
To use, you ...

Advantages: Gorgeous smell, soft clothes, easy to use, good price Disadvantages: None
...when I saw this new Comfort fragrance in their range of Fabric Softeners, I just couldn't resist! Not to mention its vibrant orange colour, it smelt lovely in the bottle, really tropically and fresh, so I decided I would just have to have a bottle to take home with me. Luckily for me the 1.5 litre bottle was on offer, so I took one of those!

It has the Comfort teardrop on the front of the bottle, with lot of bright colours on the picture, with 'Tropical Burst' at the bottom. You can't miss this one on the shelves, it is bright orange liquid with a bright orange cap on the bottle too, so it stands out a bit! The bottle described this fragrance as being 'Bursting with the fruity fragrances ...

The lid is even coloured the same as the bottle which adds to the effect of how eye catching it is! On the front is a picture of a woman laughing surrounded by brightly coloured pink flowers which is again adding to the summery theme surrounding the product.

I have to say I cannot smell the coconut, or at least it doesn't seem that way scented to me but the peach and mango is strong. I want to keep on sniffing at it as it is that nice!! When I had washed my clothes with it and opened the machine it smelt wonderful and then once they were all in the dryer I could smell the scent from my door ...

...the fateful day I tried Comfort tropical burst. The only reason I bought it was because it was on offer that day a few months ago. Now a days it goes into my trolley regardless of the price unless something just as good is on offer.
Comfort is priced averagely against other branded softeners such as Lenor and Fairy etc. I usually get the 750ml bottle of concentrated softener which will cost me around £1.50. It does pop up on offer quite often which ... ...lifts my mood and for me it's worth paying any price.
The only other softener I have found to come close and probably exceed the results in terms of aroma and long lasting is Fairy but I rarely see that on offer so for me Comfort comes out on top. ...

The colour is different, summery and unusual, but it was the smell I was mainly interested in. The screw lid doubles up as a measuring guide, which is a regular occurance in most fabric conditioner bottles. 1 cap full is enough for 1 wash.
The smell of the clothes when you open the washing machine is great! It is really uplifting, strong and summery. ... ...base undernote, which really cheered me up!
The smell stays for around 2 days if you stick your head into your clothes you can smell it, but not so much if you were 30cm away from the clothing.

Advantages: Leaves clothes soft and smelling good and the smell does last! Disadvantages: Slightly expensive
This review is of the 750ml/21 washes versions of Comfort Sunshine FabricConditioner (its listed as Sunfresh on here)
I first came across the Comfort Fresh Release FabricConditioner range by obtaining a free samples in the post for the tropicalburst scent, i liked it but thought at the time it might be a bit pricey for me as i was used to buying Tesco's own range at approx 96p per bottle.
On a shopping trip to Tesco though they didn't have what i normally brought (Tesco Easy Sleep) i decided to get Comfort but thought i would try the Sunshine type as it looked nice and bright and cheery (yes i was sucked in) but i am glad i did and i am now hooked.
The conditioner has a vanilla smell to it, is light and refreshing and the fresh release technology does work, i can smell it on my clothes during the day of wear and also my duvet ...
