My husband has always had sensitive skin, bless him, but in recent years it has become more of a problem as he has had bouts of urticaria. To try and help him combat this I decided to change my washing powder and fabric softener to the non bio or pure variety.

Comfort Pure is available in a concentrated version and a standard version and I am quite happy to buy either, depending on which has the best offer at the time. The only real difference is in the consistency of the products and the amount you have to use to get your soft, fresh washing but, apart from that, I find that either product will give me the same excellent results.
Comfort Pure was originally formulated to be used on baby clothes. The theory is that the fibres in the material tangle making the clothes itchy to wear and Comfort Pure smoothes them back out again this making them soft and comfortable next to baby's skin.
This is all very well but why should it be just the babies who get the nice soft clothes?
So what is Comfort Pure like then?
The container is plastic, so it can be recycled, and is white with the Comfort logo in blue across the front.
Well the liquid itself is a pearlescent white in colour and it slightly thicker than the standard fabric softener. This is because it is concentrated and so you don't need to use as much in your wash.
It has a light fragrance which is difficult to describe. I think the best way I can put it is to say that it is slightly floral, fresh and clean. I know it sounds silly to describe a smell as 'clean' but it is an effective description. Well I think so anyway!
You just place the fabric softener in the special drawer in your washing machine using the cap of the bottle as your measure and away you go. You will need about 35ml for a 4-5kg normal load or about 55ml for a 6 -7kg large load or if you want your washing to be extra soft and extra fresh. If you are doing some hand washing 18ml in 10l of water will do the trick.
As soon as you open the door of the washing machine after the washing cycle has finished you will notice the fragrance again. The washing smells clean and fresh.
I don't use a tumble dryer and I rarely bother to peg my washing outside. I am really idle and either hang it over the radiators or over the airer. This has the effect of perfuming the whole house as the fragrance wafts around as the clothes dry.
The washing feels softer than if no fabric softener had been used and the freshness remains within the fibres of the material even after the clothes have been stored for a while. So when I fetch a t shirt out of the drawer to put it on I can still smell the light fresh fragrance of Comfort Pure.
Since it is specifically designed with babies in mind and it is dermatologically tested and hypoallergenic there is unlikely to be any adverse reaction when anyone wears the washed clothes.
A 750ml plastic (recycleable) bottle will currently cost you £1.29 in Tesco's and will freshen 21 washes.
Apparently it is the only fabric softener working in conjunction with the National Childbirth Trust and its research into skincare is supported by the British Skin Foundation.
All in all I would recommend this fabric softener and it has certainly made our washing smell fresh and it has helped keep down the irritation to hubby's skin too.
...she suggested I tried using Comfort Pure. Humm! I thought, Ok i'll give it a try.
So that's what I did. I went out brought some Comfort Pure. As noromal I put a load of washing into the machine and let it do what it had to do. Finally the washing had finished, OOh! I was excited. As I opened the door of the washing machine I was amazed. My washing smelt fresh and clean, and I hadn't even taken it out yet. Softer than cotton wool, fluffier than ...well ... ...of something that Comfort Pure smelt like then I would be very very stuck as I have never smelt anything like it before, Comfort Pure is Unique one of a kind
I am still using Comfort Pure and I don't think I'll ever stop using it. My baby's clothes dont feel rough and worn out after a few washes, every wash leaves them feeling soft and gentle as if they are still brand new.
I now have two boy's and every mother know's how delicate a baby's skin ...

I first came across Comfort Pure fabric conditioner when I was searching my local supermarket when I was 7 months pregnant and stocking up on essentials for when I had had my baby boy. My mum told to buy non-bio powder and this fabric conditioner, as it is widely recommended for use on baby clothes, so I did. Even now, using this product makes me remember holding my tiny 4lb baby in my arms with his clothes smelling of Comfort, and I think this product ... ...always trigger wonderful memories!
Comfort Pure comes in a clear plastic bottle, with a white label on the front and the name Comfort across the middle in bold blue writing, with "pure" underneath in a light grey colour. There is a picture of a sleeping by, which tells you immediately that the product is suitable for baby clothes and bedding etc. The product is available in different size bottles, and obviously different prices. I have had a quick ...

Advantages: smells great and feeels sooooo soft Disadvantages: none
...far I found to be Comfort Fabric Conditioner.
I've been using this particular brand for quite a while now as I found nothing that beat the fresh softness of Comfort. The name is totally correct as this laundry conditioner makes my clothes the comfiest ever.
I paid 97 pence for a bottle of blue in colour, 1litre comfort conditioner from Tesco's this is about a 30 pence higher price than the Tesco own brand (not savers).
The bottle states that it ... ...I can help it).
Comfort contains amongst other ingredients;
<5% actionic surfactants, Perfume, Alpha Isomethyl, Ionone, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Hexyl Cinnamal, Benzy Salicylate, Sorbic acid, Benzoic Acid, benzyl Alcohol.
Both Persil and Surf recommend it (along with myself).
Ok, so I filled up my washing machine with a dark wash (it's all my boyfriends black work socks that get washed so often that need the most softening so I thought this ...

Advantages: Smell and softness Disadvantages: Price, a bit pricey compared to thers on the maret
...****What is it****
Comfort Pure is a fabric conditioner which does exactly that...conditions your clothes! The liquid comes in 2 different sizes and is a white thickish liquid. It can be bought as concentrate or normal, we personally use the concentrate
****What it does*****
Comfort Pure keeps the fibres smoother so clothes feel soft and gentle against the skin. By not washing clothes in fabric conditioner, the fibres can start to tangle and bobble.
... ...shop at Sainsburys and use Comfort Concentrated Pure for 1.5l at around £2.65. The other Comfort Pure (not concentrated) is cheaper £1.38 for 750ml and £1.59 for 2l.
***Overall***
This is the best fabric conditioner that i have used. The smell lasts for a long time and fragrances your house if drying indoors but can be smelt outdoors if washing on the line! People have also commented on the smell of our clothes - all good i must add!!! It really ...

I know the list says Comfort Pure, but I have noticed that various other colours have been written about. So I just had to bring this wonderful product to your attention.
It says NEW on my bottle but I have been using for around 6 months now.
In the supermarket you will find it nestled there with all the others but don't be fooled, pay a little extra. It does not have the Non_Iron statement but I have found it works well, especially if you give ... ...the machine. Well lets get down to the nitty gritty.
Appearance
You can't miss it. 1L bottle with a beautiful coloured lemony yellow lid, and a slightly more pastel shade of liquis inside. I t has a yellow label on the front , with a little window effect looking out onto a field and flowers (buttercups I think..)
Smell
A delicate pergume smell, quite difficult to describe, it just has that Hmmmmm factor. In my opinion it is suitable for all the ...

soft and smell really good. The label on the bottle is cream coloured and on the right you can see white orchid on the left jojoba leafs. The label itself is drop shaped. The cup is golden brown and serves as a measure. This conditioner is for sensitive skin. I bought our conditioner in Sainsbury?s for 1.88 pounds.

Surcare have a small range of products specially designed for sensitive skin:- hand wash, body lotion, laundry liquid / tablets and powder and fabricconditioner. I have previously used the fabricconditioner and hand wash. The fabricconditioner I did not buy again as I preferred the smell of ComfortPure, which was also gentle on my skin. I have also used their hand wash and I would buy it again if only I saw it for sale somewhere.
