On my quest to find the most effective and cheapest fabric conditioner I have tried every possible brand (available in my local Tesco) and even though it may not be the cheapest, the best bar far I found to be Comfort Fabric Conditioner.

I've been using this particular brand for quite a while now as I found nothing that beat the fresh softness of Comfort. The name is totally correct as this laundry conditioner makes my clothes the comfiest ever.

I paid 97 pence for a bottle of blue in colour, 1litre comfort conditioner from Tesco's this is about a 30 pence higher price than the Tesco own brand (not savers).

The bottle states that it is ready to use and you need half a cap full for hand washing, a full cap full for a normal 4-5kg load or 1 ¼ cap full for a bigger 6-7kg load. I use a cap full for all of my washing (I tend not to do hand washing if I can help it).

Comfort contains amongst other ingredients;
<5% actionic surfactants, Perfume, Alpha Isomethyl, Ionone, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Hexyl Cinnamal, Benzy Salicylate, Sorbic acid, Benzoic Acid, benzyl Alcohol.

Both Persil and Surf recommend it (along with myself).

Ok, so I filled up my washing machine with a dark wash (it's all my boyfriends black work socks that get washed so often that need the most softening so I thought this would be the best test for the conditioner). I stick to a 40 degree wash and wait just over an hour for the cycle to finish.

I used this conditioner in conjunction with Surf Tropical washing power (previous review) and I reckon that this gives the best results. Along with the strong smell of the washing powder I could still smell the classic smell of the Comfort conditioner.

Everything felt so soft and even though it came straight out of the machine it already felt quite dry. (Conditioning clothes makes them dry quicker, don't ask me how).

All of the socks were not just soft but more fluffy and fresh. I always give them a good shake before hanging them on the line but I didn't need to shake to hard, as they were soft and floppy.

I brought them in off the line and folded all the fresh laundry up. Each and every piece of clothing was soft to the touch, fresh and not too creased.

I am always pleased with the results that I'm left with after using Comfort fabric Conditioner. I don't think I'd change to another brand unless it smells the same, feels the same and is a lot cheaper. I would totally recommend this to all washing machines, laundry bins and the poor sod doing the washing. It may not be a pleasure to be doing the washing but it pleasant to see the results that are left by using this product.

Thanks for reading x x x
