It's a clear liquid that you pour directly into your iron. It has a pleasant smell that works with the steam to fragrence your clothes.

I love ironing you know, I would quite happily make it my day job if there was enough money in it. I'm good at it too, you will never catch me with a single crease in my clothing ( unless I've slept in it after a good night out on the piste ). I love ironing my clothes and having the smell of the fabric softener or soap powder pleasantly scenting the air of the room that I'm in. I've said it before and I'll say it again, you can waft all your expensive perfumes and deodorants in my face and I wouldn't even look at you twice. Let me near your clean washing basket though and I'll be at your beckon and call 24/7 until a new fresh smelling fabric softener came along.

** What is ' Comfort Vaporesse? ' **
It's a clear liquid that you pour directly into your iron. It has a pleasant smell that works with the steam to fragrence your clothes.
** How can I spot it on the shelf? **
Well, the clear liquid comes in a clear 1 litre bottle. On the front a label clearly states what it is. From what I've seen it comes in two varieties / smells. These are, Original and Lily and Riceflower. The original version has a blue clear plastic lid which when easily unscrewed has an easy to pour spout. The Lily and Riceflower version has the same clear plastic lid and spout but in a sickly looking pink colour. YAK!..I aint a lover of the colour.
** Any flaws with the design of the bottle? **
Not that hindered or annoyed me. The easy to pour spout is just what I say it is. The spout itself is about a centimetre in width, it is just the right size to pour the liquid into your iron. The cap that covers this is really easy to unscrew too. The bottle has a design that enables the user to hold it easier, bevelled into the side of the bottle is a notch the length of about four centimetres, thus giving me space to fit my forefinger and thumb around the neck of the bottle. It makes gripiing easier. Champion, I'm accident prone you see. Oh yes, all this helps you get a better grip on the bottle but it doesn't stop me burning myself on the iron. HMMM!
** Are the instructions easy to follow? **
Aye, even I can do it man!
Simply, and I quote
' Pour directly into the water resevoir of your steam iron '
How simple is that? Simpler than the whole of the Sunderland Football team put together. Well, then again.
** Smell **
Original ------------
Ermm, it just smells like fabric softener to me. A little stronger though, actually I've just had a sniff out of the bottle and it doesn't smell all that pleasant. It smells nicer when mingling with the steam of your iron though. To put the smell into a catergory I would have to liken it to a hint of vanilla with a strong sweet smell.
Lily and Riceflower ---------------------------
Again it has that distinct smell of fabric softener, this time though you can definitely smell the lillies. There is also another smell in the background too, perhaps this is the riceflower? I'm not sure you see, not knowing what a rice flower smells like. I don't care, I like the smell anyway much better than the original.
** Price **
I paid 79p for 1 in Wilkinsons but I have seen them sell for as much as a pound in larger supermarkets. I think the latter price is a bit steep and certainly wouldn't buy it if I was paying that much.
** My Opinion **
When ironing the smell of both versions is very pleasant indeed. The whole room has the pleasant fragrence and I have, time and time again gone a little weak at the knees. On your clothes the fresh smell seems to get stuck right into the fibres and stay there. I can only liken the experience to that of cigarette smoke, you know, it gets stuck into your clothes and won't go away! After 2 days in the wardrobe / drawer I can still smell it although not as strong as I had hoped. Any longer than that and I find I've wasted my time ironing my clothes with the stuff as I can't smell it anymore. Sometimes, if the steam is too high on my iron crackling and spitting of the liquid occurs. This is easily combated by turning down the steam on your iron. The product does carry a label on the back warning us of this.
When ironing I've found that the iron seems to glide easier across my clothes, again this is stated on the label. I've found this to be helpful when ironing denims such as jeans and erm, jeans!
Apperantly ' Comfort Vaporesse ' helps reduce the build up of limescale on your iron, well to be honest I've never noticed any limescale on my iron before I started using it, so no comment there.
I've had no adverse skin reactions from this product although some women who use it my have a few problems. You see, one whiff and I'm like a rash all over them!
Made by the well known Lever Faberge this product does get my vote, I've been buying it for a good few months now and will continue to do so. I can fill my iron with it about 4 times from a litre bottle so I do feel at 79p I'm getting my money's worth.

I'm off now to bathe in a hot bath of Lily and Riceflower.
...Comfort Vaporesse – parfum pour iron. Packaged in a see-through bottle, the clear liquid gives the immediate impression of fresh air.
It’s marketed on the premise that it “infuses your clothes with a delicate fragrance to give them a long-lasting freshness.”
Comfort Vaporesse is used in place of water in your steam iron and is said to reduce the build-up of lime scale deposits inside the appliance.
As the iron heats up, ... ...I was ready to endorse Comfort Vaporesse as one of life’s little ‘must haves.’
I gathered up my ironing with what was to be short-lived pride.
My clothes smelt like a musty cellar, my sheets like a grotty second-hand shop inhabited by cats.
On further inspection pastel coloured t-shirts had greasy spot marks where there hadn’t been greasy spot marks before.
Comfort Vaporesse retails at £1.19 for a litre bottle and is widely ...

Advantages: Great fresh smelling clothes Disadvantages: Wish I could get a bigger bottle!
...assist you with your wash! Comfort Vaporesse is the new fresh fragrance for when you are doing your ironing.
This product is presented in a 1-litre bottle at the cost of £1.39 from my local Tesco’s (prices may vary). It actually took a couple of weeks for me to catch this in stock; it seemed so popular that it was continuously sold out.
So how exactly does this delight work, well Alex and I were sceptical at first as we thought it would cause sticking ... ...and found that it was great did not cause any problems at all.
You simply add the liquid into your steam iron as you would water and let it steam your clothes. You should not add water at the same time there is no need to dilute. Alex was still sceptical and on the first iron he was convinced that his clothes were sticking where in fact the iron was far to high for what he was ironing! Typical for him!
The fragrance of Vaporesse is nothing identifiable ...

...promises to provide plenty of comfort and drink and surround him with wonderful perfume so that he would provide optimum perfomance. So far reader, my flirtations have worked, and he performs well everyday.
So how have I managed to keep him so happy. Comfort Vaporesse, with Lily and Riceflower, that’s how. I started with a version from Sainsbury’s which had a very inviting modern bottle (and was 99p per 1L) but it really did smell very strange when ... ...Comfort version (1.19 per 1L) and it smells much better, although a little too strong. The bottle recommends that you DO NOT dilute it, but personally I can’t see why not other than to get you to buy more bottles. I use the water out of the condenser of my tumble dryer to dilute it, as I am sure there is no lime scale in it. However, you can buy special unscented water from the supermarket if you prefer.
I do not like the smell of Lily’s normally, ...

Advantages: Smells lovely, ironing clothes is easier, clothes are softer Disadvantages: Still have to iron yourself, quite expensive
...make your life easier. Comfort Vaporesse was my most recent impulse buy. I say impulse buy, but my excuse is that it was brought purely for consumer research. Yeah right!!
After receiving a money-off voucher for Comfort Vaporesse in my last Bounty Pack, I thought I’d try some. What is Comfort Vaporesse? Well, basically it is a fancy, tarted-up scented water specially designed for using in your steam iron instead of boring old tap-water. After ironing ... ...Water. As I use Comfort Fabric Conditioner with Ylang Ylang in my washing machine I opted for the second one and both products complemented each other. When the luscious Lisa met Dishy Darren it seemed like a match made in heaven, until her drippy family got in the way of their more intimate moments! A quick fondle in the kitchen ruined by big sis, a passionate session of necking spoiled by mum looking over their shoulders. Luckily, they recently found the solution to their problem down at the local supermarket, and now have no trouble with the family hanging around and spoiling the moment?
