This is the best yet of the command and conquer series. It beats all of its predecessors on game quality, graphics, believability and smoothness of the gameplay. It does, however, lose out to almost all of them on longlevity.

You can choose from two game types, multiplayer (where you can play against both computer and human playes) and the single player campaign. In both these game modes you can choose from one of three teams, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. These temas are the G.L.A (a terrorist organization), the Chinese, and the U.S.A.

First Impressions:
My first impressions of this game were excellent. There are lots of long, interesting cut scenes that, if you wish to, you can skip through. Most of the are, however, quite interesting.

Graphics:
The graphic strength of this game is easily its strongest asset. You can zoom in and out on the map without making the images blurred or even slightly pixelly. All of the units are beautifully tailored and their animations are seamless. The variety of scenery is also immense, all 3D and all fairly realistic.

The only problem that i found with the graphics of this game is that sometimes, only very occassionally, the toxin tractors special attack animation failed to load. I'm sure that if i had downloaded the patch for the game this minor problem would have been fixed though.

Ease of Play/Learning Curve:
This game has a good learning curve. The first couple of missions for any of the teams, are fairly simple, and during them you are not taught, but you can learn basic stratagies, the strengths of units etc. And if you need any more help, there is a tutorial which guides you through the basics of the game.

The game is easy to play, anyone who has played any of the age of mythology series or age of empires or even rise of nations, will get the gist of the game very quickly. Even those who have never played a similar game to this before will find it easy to learn.

General Gameplay:
The gameplay is brilliant. From the moment you start there is no stop in action, if you're not ready before the enemy you will get destroyed. Throughout the game you can't afford to let up or you will lose the game.

The interface is smooth and easy to use, most of the play is controlled by the mouse, but for some things you can use and assign short cuts on the keyboard.

I definately recommend this game...

it has excellent graphics, a good smooth interface. The only thing i might suggest is that you buy an expansion to keep the game going.
