Command and conqerors zero hour is the expansion to command and conquerors generals. It has the same basics.

The original:

This is an excellent strategy game with many different tanks and infantry. It takes awhile to get use to what the best ways of deafeting an opponent is. Although it is very satisfying to beat the brutal army. There are medals for things like 3 consecutive wins, 50 tanks built in one battle and 10 aircraft built in one battle

Actual gameplay:

This is quite a basic game and you may think its really easy (well it is against an easy army) but you should try the brutal army. Thats when it get hard. It has the same layout as most stategy games. Click on some guy and tell him to do something like attack or build a barracks. Yes this is like that but much better. Each team are very different. They are USA, GLA (terrorist) and CHINA. They each have a cool cuperweapon like nukes (thats china, typical of china right?).
The campaigns are fun and can be quite long. You choose either GLA, USA or CHINA and you use them throughout about 5 missions.
When the game has just loaded, you will start with your command centre and one either peasant or building dozer. You usually use this person to build a supply centre right next to the closest supply centre. Then the centre can collect supplie. Then it gets more fun as you build infantry, tanks and defences. Eventually you should have a massive city with great defence and a lot of men. Then you go and blow the hell out of the other side.
To make full use of this game you should use the online feature to battle it out with friends (or to fight some randomn guy in Norway). There can be some lag online so i would advise just playing with people in the UK.

Zero Hour Features:
Why buy Zero hour, is it worth it? Well a definite yes if you are addicted to the original but if not i wouldn't rush out to buy it.
There are some decent differences. There are now 3 specialised generals under each USA, GLA and CHINA. You will need to experiment with some to find which one you like the most. My favorite is USA Air Force General. I build 10 airports and get 40 aircraft. That is a great moment when you suddenly come into the opponents base with 40 aircraft. If its online you really want to see their face.
Anyway apart from that there are new even better campaigns and the new CHALLENGE menu. This is where you choose from the many different generals and go through rounds of opponents, trying to beat them all.
In the actual game there are new tanks like the motorbike and a few others.

VERDICT:
Game: 8/10
Sound: 7/10
Graphics: 9/10 (I think that they are really good)
Overall: 8/10
