Full review
Command and Conquer The First Decade is a compilation of the command and conquer games starting back from 1995. The focus of the original game was the conflict between the Global Defense Initiative and the Brotherhood Of Nod, which has now moved to a war against terror as the USA battle against China and GLA (global liberation army.) Sadly this was released before the newest addition Command & Conquer 3 (just for completion, in my opinion generals and zero hour were the best of the series, not taking time as a factor, some things just could not be done back in the old days.)

Command and Conquer The First Decade contains the following material:
Command and Conquer (1995 origional),
Command and Conquer: The Cover Operations,
Command and Conquer: Red Alert,
Command and Conquer: Red Alert - Counterstrike,
Command and Conquer: Red Alert - The Aftermath,
Command and Conquer: Tiberian Sun,
Command and Conquer: Tiberian Sun - Firestorm,
Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2,
Command and Conquer: Yuri's Revenge,
Command and Conquer: Renegade,
Command and Conquer: Generals,
Command and Conquer: Generals - Zero Hour.
Bonus DVD.

So now i guess your sitting there thinking, mmm so its just a bunch of some old and a little newer strategy games? Well then, you have forgotten about our old friend Command & Conquer: Renegade which is the black sheep if you will, a first person shooter. Its a little change from the old strategy games, but nothing special. One word to sum it up, nostalgic.

I guess first you have to ask yourself: Do i like real time strategy games? if the answer is yes then definatly the last two games there are for you. Now ask yourself "am I a command & conquer fan"? If yes the the rest is probably for you! I would have to say that if you love the old games and want to reminis the old days on your new pc then give it a go! The games have been updated to run on windows XP so no problems there.

Even for the price of the package its worth buying this to just get the last two games with valid serial keys so that you can play online! The novelty of playing the old games wears off fast as the old blocky graphics get to you once you have relived the little memory of gaming on dialup at 5am before school/work.

The specific criteria is mostly due to the last games being so awsome, even for 2003!! the graphics are still great and im still playing them now! what really keeps these games alive is the multiplayer online modes, with the older games this is a bit hard since the way the games were set up for dialup, but with the last to games on the list multiplayer is a real must, otherwise the games are like a human without a heart. (read my review on generals for a bit more detail in that department)
