...This product seems to be designed to meet the basic needs of a home PC. this is good looking and very cute one too. it will satisfy all the basic needs of a computer , or rather to be more precised a personel computer. its got a good speed and the manufacturer is a well prone company. this company has got its own manufacturing units and the quality is very reliable. one can use this PC as a home computer and can even use it for small home based bussiness and also for the part time jobs/ works which can be done from home using the computer and the internet server. i would suggest anyone who is opting to buy a personal computer to buy this model. its installation is very easy and the customer support provided by this company is excellent............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... Advantages: Easy to work on, good support

...I have run a IT department for over 10 years and have seen many Computer suppliers in that time. I have now standarized on Compaq throughout the company for Desktops because I find that they have worked hard on what used to be very poor in customer service. We tend to now buy EP series because they suit our needs. We are not power users but use standard off the shelf products like Microsoft Office Pro and terminal emulation software for accessing our Unix system. The speeds are more than adequate for most users, why do you need disc access speeds of .00000001 msec if you are only typing memos and reports with 2 fingers. Service calls , which I must admit are not often, are dealt with in an efficient manner by Compaq Direct. Users Manuals are never opened by most users so why spend huges budgets on them. Advantages: Nice looking machines
Disadvantages: Too many faults

...If you are thinking about purchasing a new computer for home use don't buy a Compaq. I work for quite a large body in a Helpdesk capacity and I have noted how many faults have been recorded for Compaq machines. Even new machines have a tendency to freeze, reboot themselves etc. Support isn't bad but I do think that new machines shouldn't be giving the user any bother. If you are going to buy a PC be sure to shop around - Make sure you don't buy one with everything 'on board'. This means everthing is attached to the mother board ie. Sound card, Network card etc therefore if anything goes wrong with your hardware it can be very expensive to fix. Sorry to disagree with all you Ciao users who are of the opinion that Compaqs are a good machine.... Read review
