Small enough to fit in a desk drawer and light enough to mount on the wall or under a desk, the Evo D510 e-pc was designed to maximize space and blend seamlessly into the user's environment. The Evo D510 e-pc can share a common image with other D500 series models with the same chipset for simplified IT management. And the toolless entry design allows quick and easy access to internal parts for simple upgrade and repair. Having a consistent, stable platform means that you can integrate the Evo D510 e-pc at your own pace, without having to qualify and test the image each time you order. Stable deployment of software images minimizes IT costs. As with all Compaq products, the Evo D510 e-pc was designed with increased focus on improved accessibility and usability for all customers. Advantages: decent pc, good RAM Disadvantages: none
...The HP dx2300 has a 1.8ghz processor and has two 512mb memory chips which makes the overall RAM over 1gb with a possible expansion up to 4gb. The hard drive is a decent size as well as it has 80gb of space. The operating system is windows xp which is ok but won't be able to keep up with vista soon! It also comes with a one year warranty. The HP dx2300 is an ideal business class desktop that is full-featured and value-priced. Featuring the power of an Intel processor and ample RAM, the dx2300 gives you all the strength you need to power through the toughest applications. A large hard drive gives you ample room to store all your important files. The micro tower also gives you excellent expandability in a compact form factor. As your business grows, the HP dx2300 will grow with you. The price ranges from £300 to £600....

Advantages: Bang for your Buck! Reliability, It's an HP need i say more! Disadvantages: Slightly less battery life than newer models
...This is a beasty of a computer, the screen and everything is perfect for the home/occasional portable user. If you are looking for a reasonably priced, quite powerful fully upgradable pc, then this is it! You can add ram and everything to this pc. Windows XP helps it on its way nicely for all your desktop computing needs on the go! Slightly heavier than some newer models with a slightly shorter battery life too, but it still goes like stink! The only downside to this laptop is that your friends might get jealous, its sooo good looking and useable!
I would recomend this product to anyone looking to buy a laptop for home or work use, it is just the best of the older HP lineup, although not that old!!!...

Advantages: Reliable, quiet and space-efficient. Disadvantages: Not much room for expansion.
...'s nothing stopping you.
The price point may be anywhere in the £500-£700 range depending on where you buy, so it's not going to upset your accountant either. All of this along with Compaq's highly reputable support makes it eminently suitable for corporate users. It's not aimed at gamers, it's a business machine and does exactly what it would say on the tin if it came in one.
I'm sure there are many who prefer the flexibility of a big-box PC, I spent years upgrading my previous machines at almost bi-monthly intervals, but right now I'm perfectly happy with my Evo. Of course it depends what you're looking for, but if that's reliability, portability and Compaq quality you don't have to look much further....
