Advantages: great portability

...Notebook speed issue I think data bus speed is the culprit here. The Front Side Bus (FSB) is the data channel that connects the processor, other chips, memory, and the video circuitry. The motherboard in this HP laptop runs at a pokey 100MHz FSB. A comparably-priced Toshiba (A45-S121) runs at 266Mhz FSB using the same 2.8GHz Celeron. The processor can support up to a 400MHz FSB. See this HP laptop series specs at --------------- To date, all Celeron 2.8GHz processors have had on-die L2 cache of only 128KB. The Pentium 4 versions have L2 cache of up to 512KB and run at a 533MHz FSB. This includes HP ZE5xxx series notebooks built with Pentium 4 CPUs. Lastly, when running on battery, the power saving setup of most notebooks will throttle back the CPU speed to increase battery life. You might be able to override this by adjusting... Read review

...at the moment, so it can handle media files and other processor intension tasks with ease. Installed ROM: 128MB. This is where the PDA's operating system and application software is built into. You see Pocket Word and other pocket programs that loads up with Pocket Windows? It's all here, so even when you fully reset the PDA and get rid of all data, the operating system etc will still be here and safe. Installed RAM: 64MB. This memory is shared by the PDA from personal storage to required memory to run programs. It doesn't look like much, but PDA programs are usually very small in size i.e. 40KB, so the RAM is plenty enough. Graphics: Intel 2700G graphics processor with 16MB video RAM. This is one of the main selling points of the Dell x50v. It has a standalone graphics chip with its own memory to render 2D and 3D graphics. That's right... Read review
