...I am writing a review on the hp 1600 printer.
I use this colour printer regulary in my work, and i have found it to be excellent. Its a business printer so i am not sure what it cost - but looking online i would estimate: £140 from the HP Website
What it looks like:
It sits quite upright but with a gently curved front panel and a completely flat top. Coloured in beige, light and slate grey, the printer has a minimal control panel of just four buttons, two LED indicators and a 16-character LCDdisplay. The display is hard to read, as it's partly in the shadow of its surround and, our pet gripe, could dearly use a backlight.
On the front there is the HP Logo, and the printer name below HP Laserjet 1600 - the paper goes in at the tray in the bottom, and comes out the top.The function buttons are along the top.

Advantages: Sturdy build, full colour screen, ease of use Disadvantages: Doesn't support Compact Flash 2, only has 16MB RAM, not many add ons and upgrades available

One complaint is the Pocket Internet Explorer doesn't support Java and it handles frames poorly which is dis-appointing as most webpages use these features.
The USB docking cradle is excellent, you just plug in the PC and windows automatically detects the HP and begins synchronising...

Advantages: Speed, print quality, ease of use Disadvantages: none really!
...it doesn’t seem that long ago since we were using PCs with this processor speed!)
A new addition on this line of printers is an added control panel LCD screen. This gives a two line display and allows you to use the features of the printer in a more user friendly way.
In Use
This printer was pretty easy to set up on our network. As with all HP printers a CD is supplied which provides you with the drivers you need to run the printer on a PC or Server.
Once the printer is up and running, the speed of response is the first thing that grabs your attention. It only takes a few seconds for the printer to respond to a print request, and this is obviously due to the powerful processor inside the 2300 directing operations.
The speed of print media output is also very impressive. With this printer able to run up to speeds of 25 pages per minute...

The HP iPAQ 214 Enterprise Handheld is an advanced piece of kit which you can comfortably take with you anywhere you go, almost like a mini laptop! It actually runs on a 624MHz processor, I remember my first ever PC which was 133MHz, that really does put more
