Now if you are considering buying a CD-Writer, you have to bear in mind two things. Do you want the drive mounted internally inside your PC like a convention CD-ROM drive, or do you want an external module. Basically, if you have a free bay in your PC at the front, and don’t mind taking apart the PC itself to install it, then an internal drive is much cheaper and the best way to go about it. However if your PC has limited space inside, or you don’t want to touch your PC’s working parts, then go far an external drive.
Personally, when I was searching for a drive a few weeks back, I needed and external one. This is because my computer had no free bay to mount the drive at the inside. I searched don the net, in the shops, for a while...

A quite jolly young girl bounced up called Jude who I told my tale, and gave her the rather risky news I had £550 to spend. I knew telling her this was a risk but I felt it a risk to take, more or less instantly she led me to this HP Pavilion mini tower; now I had noticed these in three places in the store but not in one place did it have a price. The reason Jude informed me was that they were preparing for a price slash on these models, now she could have told me anything new in today etc. I made it perfectly obvious that I never had a clue, but she chose to tell me the truth. ...Fast, reliable, good looks, stable ... to mention a few, but enough about me, I`m here to talk about the Compaq Presario 6097EA. Ah, who am I kidding, course I mean the PC.
I have had it for about 6 months now and is an upgrade from a Compaq Presario 2292 which I had for about 4 years. Yes, that`s the downside, 4 years ago I had a state-of-the-art machine and nowadays it just doesn`t cut the mustard. Here`s a list of what you are going to get for your money:
*Intel Pentium 4 2.2ghz processor
Should suffice for even the most intensive applications! This can be upgraded in the future as it is removable. It also comes with a good fan mounted directly on top of it to keep it nice and cool.
*256mb PC2100 DDR RAM
