Advantages: Reliability is great Disadvantages: price is too much, old, not very flexible
...Nowadays on all computers you will see many USB ports but some of the HP printers still use the old parallel cable and this is not good. I don't like the HP printer cable because I think that it is too heavy and is hard to move around because it is so thick. But the good thing about the cable is that it lasts a very long time as mine has lasted ages and reliability is great. The price I think is too much for this wire and I am not happy why they have put the price too high because this wire is very old. I first started using this wire with my old HP printer which I purchased nearly six years ago. The wire lasted very long but I was disappointed with HP as over the years they had not made a single improvement to the wire. If you want to buy this wire for your old HP printer then go ahead and buy it, it will last a long time. If you use...

My Compaq companion Review ofHP Compaq Business Notebook nc6320 - Core Duo T2500 2 GHz - 15" TFTby
Heeverburg
Advantages: Good build quality Disadvantages: Dated looks
...This is a HP and this means it is build to the high HP standards. Perhaps not sleek and stylish but ridged. It is my view one of the best brands for technical and field use. Not much can go wrong or break with moderate use. The 15" display is great even though I have one faulty pixel after a year - only visible on an all black display. This is, to be fair, not a HP fault but could happen to any make that uses TFT displays - lets call it a technology related flaw.
The build in speakers and microphone is great especially when combined with the build in Wi-Fi. Great for Skype use!
The touch pad is good and it has a build in page scroller. The Bluetooth connection is great for connecting to mobiles or printers.
A real workhorse. The RS232 serial port is great and left out these days on many new laptops. Thanks to the serial port I can...

Advantages: Great price, picture printing quality Disadvantages: Steep prices for replacement ink cartridges.
...I just bought a new digital camera knowing that I would need a way to get the pictures off my computer. The easiest solution to that was for our family to get a printer. I did some research and found that the HP 5550 would suit our needs just fine.
There are so many pro's for the HP 5550 that I need to just make a list so it's easier to understand. Here goes:
1. The price of the printer. It was only 149.99.
2. The fantastic resolution quality. I get 4800x1200 dpi maximum resolution.
3. Both parallel and USB ports.
4. 8 MB of buffer memory. For those big documents that have tons of pages.
5. Convenient size of the printer.
6. The fact that it is HP and they have fantastic customer support.
7. Duplex ability.
8. 100 input tray and 50 page output tray.
There are however a few cons to the HP 5550 that I have found as well:
1...
