Compaq Presario 7477

This system was by no means the cheapest on sale. On the day of purchase it was being offered at a reduced price for the complete package to promote the opening of a new 'PC World' branch.
At my office there is a mixture of 'Compaq & Dell'. Of the two I think 'Compaq' the most reliable. This obviously helped coluor my choice of a home PC. Since installation, I have found that allthough the machines at the office have 'Pentium' they are not noticibly quicker than the 'Pressario'. All round I am very pleased with my choice, both of PC and supplier whose back up is excellent, and whose warranty package is affordable and very comprehensive.
I have supllemented the software by adding "Microsoft 2000" This enables me to bring work home from the office, which allows me more flexibility in my work method, and more scope for time management.
Any body who may be considering the purchase of a new PC. especially a first time buyer, could do a lot worse than a 'Pressario'.Mine has 8Gig of hard drive, but is easily updated, and this updating operation is free when purchased from PC world. Also on the first anniversary of the machine, they will give it a free health check, and restore or repair any damaged programme data.
An excellent buy.
