Ah, the humble laptop. Before this I have never really owned one, I always seemed to think that they were a bit too expensive for just a walk-about bring my files and edit them here type of gadget (when a USB and semi-up to date mobile phone can suffice) and somewhat pointless for a gaming device as they are nowhere near as powerful as a desktop PC. What I'm saying is there was nothing I could justify using it for - up until now. INTRO When it comes to laptops the main thing I look for is speed, space and the graphics. I do a lot of filming and photography as a hobby so I like to have plenty space available and I like to be able to view my pictures on a good quality screen. The speed is important to me because I use filming softwares and photo shop at the same time, so I like to be able to run both of those programmes at once without it freezing up. The Compaq Presario CQ62 is a good laptop for around home use. In my opinion this Laptop is a bit bulky and heavy for easy portability and it tends to heat up from extended use without a cooling pad. Overall the Compaq Presario CQ62 is a great laptop for checking email or surfing the web, but I would buy a cooling mat for it to ease up the heat. Thats about the only issue i have with this product. This computer has a pretty good processor speed of 2.1ghz and 2GB of ram and a 250GB hard drive. 10 months back, I had no laptop. Then came a good time, I got this laptop. Or should i say an awesome time? well we'll see. It looks very nice, feels very nice. the keyboard in black on the weird shade of greyish-silver or whatever looks neat. The texture of the material has been made really nice, unlike dell's glossy plastic. It runs on windows 7, pretty fast with 3GB RAM and 320GB hard disk memory. Is easily storing so many movies and sitcomes. Unbelievably, it's not slowed down at all, still seems as good as new. It seems a ripoff of a similar HP laptop, only at a cheaper price. Only ... more

Now this computer is quite old but i must say that it is awful. people please dont buy it, if you are in ddesperate need of a new laptop but dont have one just go to a library. save for somthing a bit on the higher range because it will last longer.
