Manufacturer's product description
The Compaq Smart Array 3200 controller allows your Ultra2 hard drives to reach their performance potential through its 80MB per second data transfer rate. It has two channels which each support up to 15 Wide Ultra2 SCSI, Wide Ultra SCSI-3, Fast/Wide SCSI-2, or Fast SCSI-2 hard drives. The Smart Array features a 64MB Error Correction Code-protected and battery-backed removable read/write cache that maximizes I/O performance without sacrificing data integrity. It supports RAID levels 0+1, 1, 4, and 5. The Smart Array 3200 is based on the SMART-2 Intelligent Architecture which provides you with exciting new capabilities for managing your network storage. It allows you to add capacity online in RAID configurations, eliminating the need to back up, reconfigure, and restore. Its GUI array configuration utility makes this capacity expansion as well as all array configuration you need to do simple. The array performance monitor keeps track of key parameters and provides information for proactive system planning. The Performance Tuning Tool (PTT) allows you to adjust the array stripe size and cache memory allocation to optimize performance for a particular application. The Smart Array 3200 also offers several fault prevention features to ensure your data integrity. It monitors over 15 drive operational parameters to predict failures and notifies you if there ever is a failure. It also monitors the array accelerator cache to allow you to do preventive maintenance. It continually performs background surface scans on the hard drives and automatically remaps bad sectors. The Smart Array 3200 is covered by the remaining warranty of the Compaq product in which it is installed (to a maximum three-year limited warranty) or a minimum one-year on-site limited warranty.
Advantages: Good Print Quality,Fast speed, affordable Disadvantages: small capacity cartridges,Cost of cartridges
...Hi Everyone
The HP PhotoSmart printer had a very good print quality as i personally use it.It easy to use, fast speed of printing.HAs good exterior looks. The black and White documents get printed fast with excellent quality. The coloured documents also prints with execellent quality and with a comparable good speed than the previous HP printers.
The Disadvantage of this is only the cartridges capacity and its cost. The cartridge capacity is small and it should be used frequently so that the cartridges doesnot get dry.
But if you want quality and speed i would definitely recommend this product to you.
You will just need to keep changing the cartridges or refill them properly to get the quality printing.
I have been using the HP printers since quite a long time.I have used hp deskjet 670cprinter also and now comparing that and this one...

Advantages: Excellent quick printing, photos just add icing on the cake Disadvantages: Paper jams for drafts
...This is a printer with class, and it produces photos to boot as well. It can literally print any photos from a vast array of media cards (note the no of slots) or direct from camera using pict-bridge. The quality of the photos is reasonable with normal colour and black catridge, but becomes professional when using a photo cartridge coupled with photo paper.
Generally you cannot fault its ability to reproduce office documents in sharp clarity and relatively quick speed (depending on settings). But beware of using draft prints as this for some reason causes the printer to jam or crumple through the process. Ink catridges suprisingly outlast any other inkjet I have owned. HP 56, 57, 58 are used in this machine....

Advantages: Full fill your need of capability Disadvantages: Old windows won't work
...I have an advanced on OS installation specially MS Windows Product. So far I know, I'been trying for at least a dozen to trying installing both windows 98 and ME on this notebook but it all ending with fail.
You'll do have a problem while installing windows 2000. The Compaq did not give you a driver support for this version of windows.
Otherwise when you satisfied with the XP version, you already have all the mobile need for your office works.
While the other vendor didn't give you no more PS2 connection, compaq were smart enough to give you it.
But for me it still bother me that I can't make my notebook work on windows ME environment which my accounting program are running.
I hope Compaq are wisely test this notebook again and even more creating a patch software for this product so it can run Windows ME and the predecessor...

The HP Photosmart 8250 is the third printer I've bought, and it's definately the best.
While it's print quality isn't quite as good as some printers on the market, it's definately amoung the best for the price - I paid only £99 for mine!
The big... more
