Advantages Stylish and lots of features.
Disadvantages Short battery life
The iPAQ 3850 has a lot of similarities to the 3100, 3600,3700 models, it has a nice looking colors and curves of the first models. The overall unit dimensions are 5.11 x 3.25 and weighs in at 6.7 oz with the outside look being modified. The iPAQ 3850 is running the new Pocket PC 2002 OS.
This model has an outside look of having a wider but shorter with a 4 directional pad, with the directional pad doesn’t holds the speaker for the unit. You can’t hear any muffled noises when you use this joypad. The bottom of the unit do not have any significant changes, still having a reser button, USB connector, power adapter and battery switch. It has a flare on the left side, having a headphone jack and a button for voice memo recording. The screen of iPAQ 3850 is a little bit lower compared to other iPAQ designs which helps to accommodate the charcoal grey plastic piece on the top of the unit, which houses the sd/mmc slot and the speaker. The power button is located on the right side of the speaker while the power led and the microphone is located on the left.
The iPAQ runs on a 206 mhz strongarm processor and has 64mb of RAM and houses an internal 1400mAh Lithium Polymer battery that lasts up to 5 1/2 - 6 hours if you’re you set the backlighting to medium. This thing has some improvements from the older iPAQ designs but is surely not enough to impress those people that will buy it.
