Compressed sawdust is exactly that, dust which has been compressed, its not good for any caged pet in my opinion. With most caged animals it will get into ears and eyes and can cause major irritation, and without knowing the cause it can go undiagnosed until it can prove fatal. Rabbits have a major problem with it, as they will breath in the dust it can cause lung problems.

It is sold because there is a market for it, but all to often pet owners dont realise the risk they could be putting their little furrie friend in. Shavings are the better option,as are barley straw, a little more expensive, but still alot cheaper than a visit to the vets or losing a little friend
