Advantages: destinator software Disadvantages: not very robust or hard wearing.
...i have used the acer n35 hand held computor for over 12months.
the destinator software is satisfactory and does get you from a to b without any fuss but is not as good or as durable as some of the other navigation software titles. the destinator maps can be viewed in 2d, 3d or birds eye view, i found the 3d view to be the best as you will see where your going much clearer but to get the street names to come up on screen you will need to see the 2d view. compared to the tom tom software the views do compare favourably however the points of interests are included but creating your own or editing existing poi's is complicated but not impossible. you do get options of navigating to addresses, street names, postcodes or poi's with the addition of navigating to street junctions. it does compare well to the tom tom system but not as easy...

Advantages: Cheap, Powerful & Stable. Disadvantages: Probably better off with a GeForce 4 ti200.
...After having this card for a considerable amount of time I've got to say its been one of the best computer upgrades I ever installed. It revolutionised the games I could play (In comparision to a TNT2).
My System Spec :
AMD T-Bird 1.2Ghz @ 1.32Ghz
Creative GeForce 3 64MB DDR Ti 200
512MB DDR 2700 RAM
MSI nForce 2 Motherboard.
VideoLogic Sonic Xplosion Soundcard.
80GB IBM Deskstar HDD.
Windows XP.
Ease of Installation :
Mine came with a relatively easy to follow quick start guide, but I didn't pay too much attention to that & simply slotted it in. After a quick driver installation & a reboot or two the card was running perfectly. PLEASE NOTE, if I remember correctly this card doesn't come with any Windows XP drivers! But they can be downloaded from the Nvidia Website.
Performance :
The sole reason for upgrading my graphics card...

...I have been with AMD C.P.U's for a long time now and I have a T-Bird 800 (soon to be 1 gig) These chips rock !!! soooooooo fast, shame my mainboard sux though. I have noticed a big difference in the jump from 650 athlon to 800 t-bird (although the athlon was in itself a blinding CPU). Also glad to have a socket rather than a slot. If you haven't got an AMD CPU and you have any other brand then I think that you need yer head looked at. Amd have come so far in the last year they have definately earnt their spot on the podium for the home computer market. Well done AMD.
lol
weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !!!...

My husband has always had a strong interest in birds and we are very keen to attract them to the garden. We also like, when possible to visit various nature reserves in the UK and also sometimes abroad. The Collins Bird Guide has always been an essential more
