Compucar 2005 Mustang GTR

Disadvantages: not enough buttons

...The formula force gp in my opinion is a great steering wheel and pedal set. I love playing car games on my pc and playstation 2 so i thought i would get a set of these because they were a good price and logitech is a well respected make. My first impressions were that this steering wheel is very realistic when it comes to the force feedback while steering and the rumbling when you crash or go over rough terrain ( depending on the game you are playing ). I have played NFS Carbon, GTR 2 and TOCA Race Driver 3 using the steering wheel and pedals and the experiance is amazing, i personally thought that it was best in GTR 2 as you cant get much more realistic than this was. Advantages: Not gonna break the bank, has force feedback
Disadvantages: SERIOUS design flaws

...to predict slides before they become noticable. Most modern driving games have support for force feedback such as GTR, LFS, Test Drive Unlimited etc. The wheel gives good feedback, however it's motion is read by an optical sensor (rather than the typical gear system), this is a problem as after time the optical sensor can get dirty, and misread the motion of the wheel. The pedals are also on flimsy mounts, and as they constantly re-calibrate if you use the pedals alot they can mis-read what is and isn't full throttle, which can mean you can push the pedal to the floor and still only get 70% throttle. This is only apparent in the "Rev. A" versions, not the newer "Rev. B" versions however. The wheel is a nice "starter" wheel if you enjoy your driving games on the PC, however don't want to spend £150 on a proper sim racing setup.... Read review

Disadvantages: weight, lack of a numeric keybord, only 2gb limit of memory upgrade

...about work ... this machine also makes very impressive game performance, whith its ati x1600 512 mb video card it rocks in games as gtr2, tomb rider legen in top spec defenition and many others. in sintax ...its just amasing value for money... Read review
