Ordered a new PC with computerplanet on 18th Feb 08. The website was well laid-out, informative, and most importantly easy to track spending with their relatively unique price bar that lets you know what your spending. I got a couple of quotes, then paid for the one i wanted with mastercard. The money was taken out of my account straight away (bit worrying!) and a confirmation email was sent. After 3 days I was informed that my PC was at 'parts picked' stage. Great I thought, It'll be here for next Saturday! Well it stayed at 'parts picked' for another 11days with no movement and no contact. After a couple of angry emails asking for a non generic response I eventually spoke to Daniel, who was excellent. He gave me a proper reply to my emails, and pushed through the build of my PC. It took another 7 days for my PC to sail through testing and get delivered, and i must admit after checking it over, its in great condition and built well. The case i bought is quite complicated, with temperature sensors built in and quite a few external I/O ports, and everything is correctly installed.

Overall, It was definitely worth the wait. 4 weeks may sound like a long time, but you begin to weigh up the benefits when your PC turns up in great nick and properly working. They are very well priced, but the customer service and contact facilities leave a lot to be desired. Email is slow, and automated responses seem to be the norm. I think a telephone number should be included as part of the standard warranty, instead of having to pay for it.
