*Note: This is not really a review, just a comment and my experiences with them*

I wont go into much detail. But I'l explain my experience with computer planet.
I stumbled upon compputerplanet.co.uk after spending hours and hours looking for the right computer which would suit me. I mainly do audio production, so for me choosing the right computer was essential. Computer planet specialise in custom made computers, so basically once a person is on their website they can pretty much build their own PC, choosing each individual part from start to finish. A person is also able to choose from pre-designed PC's, and is also able to customize them according to their needs.
Because I already knew what I was after I decided to build my own custom PC using the interface on computerplanet.co.uk. I noticed that once I had built my computer, it was significantly cheaper compared to similare pc's sold at Dell.
This was mainly because the parts used in the Dell pc which I did not need increased its cost, on that note, with Dell I was also able to customize, how ever the choice of parts were very limited, and usually only increased costs even further.

Once I finished picking my pc towards the end I was able to add aditional stuff to the order, this included wether I wanted My PC to include a 3 year guarantee/insurance/ help support. As well as other options such as the number of days it would take for computerplanet toassemble my PC.

I noticed that alot of peoples reviews that I had read on computer planet contained things such as delivery problems,pc build too long, wrong parts etc.
For this reason I decided to pick a "5 day guranteed build" (working days only) this added an extra 75 pounds to the order.
I then decided to complete my order. And so I did.
I did this on a Saturday.
By Monday my order had gone into a status which they called "Sales Order" although I could not find the meaning of it... It was a pretty good thing.
Basically when ordering a copmuter from copmuter planet .co.uk, it goes through certain statuses (on this note when you order a computer they ask you to make an account (free offcourse) this is so you can track any order made, or save any pc quotes)
When ordering a pc it goes through several stages, at each stage the person who orderd the pc is notified on the status through e-mail and through their computerplanet account.

Stages:

New Order
Order Confirmed
Sales Order
Parts Picked
Building Started
Cable Work Started
Testing Level 1
Testing Level 2
Quality Control
Dispatch Queue

After 3 days I noticed my status for the pc which I had orderd did not change, I began to worry, mainly because I had payed 75 pound for them to complete the order in 5 days. I decided to ring them up on the 4th day. They sayed "because you have decided to pick 5 day guaranteed delivery, your pc goes through a different process compared to the other Pc's, unfortunatly we do not update as regulary with the 5 day guarantee, but I can assure you that your Pc will be finished on time".
(by the way, it did not take me long to get through to a sales clerk, I think the reason for that is because I rang them at around 9:40am, the time which they usualy open customer service at)
This was a relief.
On the 5th (working) day I received an e-mail, and status update, confirming that my pc has been completed and had been shipped off. With this I also received a tracking number from UPS. The delivery service. I then received my pc the following day, which just so happend to be Saturday. It took a week for them to complete my Pc. I was satisfied about.

So far the computer is going well. And there are no faults with it, Also I checked all the parts and they are the exact same parts as I orderd. The only thing which suprised me was the Computer Case (chassis) was alot bigger then I expected, alot bigger, seriously big, no really, it wont even fit in my computer cabinet. But its good. (Just incase anyone is wondering what chassis it was its the cosmos s)

Overall I am pleased with the service which I got. And I saved quiet alot. money which I was able to spend on other things.

I think the only advice which I can give is to order the pc with a 5 day quaranteed build ( to people whome might want to buy from computerplanet.co.uk)
I think that might be a reason as to why I did not have a bad experience with them.
But it might just be a mystery.

Anyway.

I think the features on their website is good, how I was able to build my own custom Pc and choose which parts I wanted and which Parts I didnt.. A thing which they could probably improve on is the status updates. But apart from that I had a pleasent experience.

If anyone has any questios then do ask. :] I would be happy to answer them.
My e-mail is oneofthem2@hotmail.com (to people whome do not have an account on ciao)
