Part Three goes through the main stages of producing a project to 'A' level standard by using a sample project based on a snooker club. All the programming concepts used in the sample project are covered earlier in the book. The approach throughout is a very practical one. Running throughout Parts One and Two are 47 programs with step-by-step instructions explaining how to build them and explanations about how they work. In Part Three you are taken through each stage in the design and coding of the full project again using a step-by-step approach for the coding.

I'm not a big fan of crime novels, but with Jasper Fforde and Christopher Brookmyre making such consistently brilliant efforts at subverting the genre, my resistance is being eroded fairly swiftly.
Christopher Brookmyre has established a formidable reputation for Scottish crime thrillers. Full of bodily fluids and lurid characters, they're generally hilarious to read, but shot through with such extreme violence that there's no chance of them ever being left in the 'humour' section.
A Tale Etched in Blood and Hard Black Pencil is told entirely in the present tense, and follows two linked story strands - the progress through school of a group of Scottish children from their first day right through to their leaving 'dance', and a murder investigation about twenty years later.

Brookmyre brings back characters from several earlier works in this novel - Angelique de Xavia, Glasgow policewoman; Simon Darcourt, the egotistical terrorist maniac and Zal Innez, erstwhile bank robber and budding magician.
"A Snowball in Hell" is in some ways a vicious indictment of what our society has become. Brookmyre takes the cult of celebrity and takes the piss out of it and its effect on our society.

Hardly a show stopper but SLRs in general don?t lend themselves to being with you at all times unless you wear a Barbour with ?poacher?s pockets?, but if you are buying into SLRs you know that dressing like Bill Oddie comes with the turf. It is however a smidgin? daintier than the D70, although the ergonomics of holding it in your right hand remain excellent ? three fingers around the hand grip, index finger on shutter button, and thumb in a position to turn the main command dial or steady your grip. The left hand can be used for steadying a long lens or twisting the zoom ring.
