I have been studying computers with the OU now since 2002 and I find the courses to be very in depth and the tutors are very helpful. You get to interact with other students via the software they provide and tutorial meetings are set up regular throughout the course.
I am currently doing M150 at the moment which I find hard work but the support you receive is great, the staff are very helpful and for every 30 point course you do you get a £250 grant or an optional £250 to buy a PC. I don’t know how this works if you pay for the courses but that’s how it works if you are unemployed or receiving benefits.M150 is a very hard course in my opinion, it is mainly about programming, data, and communication. How data is stored on a computer, how it is handled, protection of data etc. Its not very interesting to do and the programming in JavaScript is hard work.
There's 5 TMA’s (Assignments) to do on the course, only TMA3 is Javascript, after that its optional if you want to study more of Javascript. At the end there is a CMA that needs to be done, in reality there's 6 Assignments. It is only a level one course which I feel should have been a level 2 course.

Welcome to Ciao, I feel you could have said so much more about this course. I don't really feel as if I know much more about M150 than before I read your review!
