When Greenday anncounced their upcoming concert in Milton Keynes we were immediately trying to get tickets.Greenday were currently flying high after just releasing their album 'American Idiot' . We had tickets for the 2nd and last night at Milton Keynes' National Bowl in June 2005 with a sell-out crowd of 65000 ready for the concert. The supporting bands were Hard-Fi , Taking Back Sunday and Jimmy Eat World all played very well. The only disappointments ......were fortunate enough to park really close but it took hours to even get out of the car park. It was probably the hottest day of the year and the event was charging £5 for a hot drink and all merchandise was very expensive. Greenday were followed by a firework display so if you have the chance to see Greenday live, take it. Amazing music and a great performance. ... Read review

Introduction I have never really “got” Beyoncé – I found her band Destiny’s Child a little on the dull side – although to be fair when they were at their peak I was in my thirties and embracing motherhood so songs like “Bootylicious” didn’t really speak to me. I was very much aware of their lead singer however, and when she released the solo single, “Crazy in Love” I have to say I was impressed. Born in Houston, Texas in 1981, 28 year old Beyoncé ......her mother and father have been closely involved in her career, with her mother in particular famous for designing the costumes Destiny’s Child wore and her father acting as manager of the band. Chew on This I wouldn’t normally have considered going to see Beyoncé live – my daughter had asked if she could go but a quick look at the tour dates yielded no gigs in Scotland. The closest venue was Newcastle but with tickets costing £90, I had to say ... Read review

...of the greatest tracks that Bon Jovi have ever penned and in this collection there are some great features to look out for. The live versions of all of the songs are just incredible, if you didn't know it you would probably think that they were miming because Bon Jovi are such a great band to see live. Towards the end of the song Captain Crash and the Beauty Queen From Mars, Jon spots Crash in the crowd and then seems to spend 15 minutes trying ......crowd no-ones spirits are dampend Bon Jovi make it a 'Great F%*£&g Day For Rock And Roll.' Unfortuantly I only own the VHS recording of this title but I am about to buy the DVD version, and the reason for this is because it includes many extras that origianly arent on this offering. Extra tracks from the concert include, One Wild Night Born To Be My Baby Two Story Town Runaway Lay Your Hands On Me Next 100 Years Plus 30 Minute Backstage ... Read review

...( I only own the Kylie album from the eighties!) But my GBF Paul is a huge fan so I agreed to join his Kylie troop (his Mum,his two sisters and our straight friend Tom) I can only say she blew me away! She had everything a performer needs the moves, the costumes, the talent, the songs, the dancers, the lights, the SHOW! To call this show SHOWGIRL is a stroke of genius because she is indeed ranking up the with the best. Believe me, I have seen most ......glamour and sexiness personified as Kylie shakes her tail feathers raunchiley. The crowd were a mixed bag, of course many of her gay fans were there in support of their Goddess, but there were couples, gangs of girls, gangs of guys, kids. It was a show for anyone it was girly and camp, big, showy, but for the straight guys it had Kylie the tiny ball of sexual energy! If you have tickets , I can safely say you will love this show! If you don't get ... Read review

...above which read ‘Avril Lavigne Bonez Tour 2004-Eyes’ with her name encased in a clenched fist. I must admit, considering as it was my first concert, I did find absolutely everything fascinating, and the banner was definitely eye catching. So the arena lights went down and the air of expectation shot through the roof, considerably. As the spotlight hit the curtain, you could picture Avril’s small 5’1 frame, strumming the opening chords to ‘He Wasn’t’, ......she has done so far in her career. The opening 3 or 4 tracks seemed to be over in a flash ‘My Happy Ending, Freak Out and Losing Grip’ all shooting by in the blink of an eye, yet delivering great volume and bags of entertainment. Despite the hard rocking image, Avril’s strength is undoubtedly her strength with an acoustic, showcasing great tracks such as ‘Naked’ and ‘Fall To Pieces’ while conveying real emotion and feeling with every second that ...
