Apparently I smell good enough to eat!
Advantages: Delicious smell and does what it says Disadvantages: None
Before I go on I should admit that I am a self-confessed product junkie! Am only thankful that at supermarket check-outs they only have sweets for you to add to your trolly and not make-up and lotions & potions!!
I'm a firm believer of trying different products, otherwise how else would you find something as fabulous as these revived shampoos and conditioners? With the recent snowy weather, cold blustery wind and hair that's over exposed to an appaulling ... ...Am a sucker for pretty colours and big marketing campaigns so it was no surprise when my eyes were drawn to the pretty Herbal Essences display in Boots. It was a rainbow of colour.
I chose the "Breakage Defender" shampoo and conditioner, not just because it was a pretty lilac colour but because my poor hair needs some nourishment. It says it's made up of a concoction of pearl, coconut and mango extracts and I believe every word. It smells divine ...

Smells Nice But I'm Still All Frizzy!
Advantages: Smells lovely. Widely available. Cheap. Disadvantages: Didn't have any impact on my hair.
Okay so I’m always talking about my hair, I class my hair as an asset - I must admit I do love my hair! It’s naturally curly, shoulder length and a bit ‘early Scary Spice’ (her only decent feature I must add). Haircare has been a bit of a luxury to me since I was in my late teens – I always used the best of the best. Today I’m not so well off and I just can’t justify £8 - £10 for a bottle of hair conditioner. I searched for high street priced hair ... ...‘Clairol - Herbal Essences’ a go.
I purchased this conditioner from Tesco for £1.49 but I do know if you shop around you may get a better deal – I’ve seen it in Boots for 99p and I’ve seen it in my local Kwik Save too. It comes in a 250ml bottle with a secure cap so when travelling the bottle will not leak – I’ve put it to the test!
On opening the conditioner you’ll be greeted by a delicious smell which is rather sweet and fruity – not what you’d ...

Bye Bye Dry Hair, Hello Herbal Essences
Advantages: Works wonders on dry and damaged hair Disadvantages: Nothing!
...I was drawn to the Clairol Herbal Essences range of hair conditioners through their seductive adverts preceding Desperate Housewives. Normally advertisements have little effect on my purchasing decisions. In fact, I usually press the mute button in defiance when adverts blatantly interrupt my TV programme. However, something about these adverts, with those women erupting into ecstatic convulsions while using Clairol Herbal Essences, had a positive ... ...Clairol name. I thought Clairol might be a wise choice because I use the Clairol hair colours and have done for years. Included in the box along with the colouring lotion is a little tube of Clairol conditioner. This conditioner works better than anything else I've ever tried, so much so that one day, over 10 years ago, I decided to buy the conditioner it's own.
It was a fruitless search. I couldn't find the conditioner anywhere. I duly gave Clairol ...

According to the bottle I should feel giddy with delight!
Advantages: Good smell, Makes your hair soft Disadvantages: Feels slimy on your hair, and doesnt really give a "dazzling shine"
I bought this conditioner after it being on offer in my local supermarket, so i thought i would try it since its publicized a lot for giving good results. On the bottle (different from the picture) it said:
* For normal hair
* Dazzling Shine
* berry, tea and orange flower extracts It also said that it would give me twinkling hair and I may even feel giddy with delight when using it, Oh.. I did feel giddy, as it smelt rather good!
When i opened ... ...it smelt of berry, tea and orange flower, but it did smell really really nice!
I was expecting my hair to have a dazzling shine like the bottle said, but i wouldnt call it "dazzling". I dont dye my hair, so i was expecting at least some sort of shine. It took a while to wash out, as it felt quite slimy, even though i was convinced it was all washed out.
Even thought I was quite disappointed with the shine, my hair did feel very very soft after ...

Herbal Essences Citrus Lift
Advantages: Adds a bit of volume, lasting gorgeous smell Disadvantages: None
I saw the advert for Herbal Essences Fruit Fusion new citrus lift on the telly which claims to give you lots of volume, and as I love citrusy smells and had felt my hair was looking a bit flat I thought I would try it.
I have medium length (just below shoulders) straight normal hair.
I bought it in Boots - they only had the larger 400ml bottles for £2.99. It was easy to spot amongst the Herbal Essences range as is a bright orange bottle. It is ... ...Herbal essences logo but with some oranges in the middle. It states the fruit extracts - tangerine, lemongrass and aloe vera, that it gives uplifting volume and is for fine to normal hair.
On the back it claims "Delight yourself in a juicy, energising experience. Fruity and luxurious, this nourishing conditioner, blended with fruit extracts, will leave you feeling revitalised and your hair at its most beautiful" It also claims to "Nourish your hair ...
