Reality TV has a lot to answer for

Advantages: None that I can think of (apart from Max Clifford' wallet getting bigger)
Disadvantages: Where do I start?

isn?t about Jade, as much as it about the Big Cats making as much money as they can from someone who is no longer with us. A final thought: Leave the girl and her family alone. Focus on more interesting people to inspire our nation. Let?s not turn our teenagers (and socially vulnerable ? you know, the type of people who worship ?Heat? magazine) into misguided idolisers. Fame and celebrity is momentary and fickle and doesn?t demand talent anymore, Jade is proof of this. We don?t need celebrity. We don?t need films about reality TV stars. Don?t turn our cinemas into an extention of the paparazzi hungry public, or those who are famous just for being famous. Jade Goody may be interesting enough to allow for the odd documentary here and there, but not a film. What is the world coming to? Thanks for reading © MarcoG 2009 ...

Review of Reality TV Star Jade Goody's life to be turned into film. What are your thoughts on this?

Reality? What Reality??!

Advantages: There's lots and lots of lots of alcohol
Disadvantages: If this is "reality" then we're all in trouble!

. :o) WHO GOES ?BACK TO REALITY?? (o: Now the ?cast list? is perhaps the thing that was always going to make or break the show, because unlike reality shows with previously unknown house guests, these ones have all had at least a minor taste of fame and are inevitably not the shy and retiring types! :o) THOSE ALREADY GONE?(o: First to go was Nick ?Don?t call me Nasty? Bateman, who came across as nervy and downright odd on the show due to his obsession with the idea that one of the other housemates was a ?mole?. Next was Uri ?I?ll mend that broken watch? Geller who made great television by walking out of his own accord. His justification for his actions was something to do with the production team moving his bag?all rather odd, it didn?t really add up! Next to be voted out was Lizzie ?I?m having a fag? Bardsley who just seemed ...

Review of Back to Reality

The must have introduction to political philosophy

Advantages: Well written, informative, thorough and entertaining
Disadvantages: Could be heavy if you don't like Political philosophy

Like Zizeck's Desert of the Real, or Putnam's Truth Reason and History this is one of those books that is a must-have if you intend to study the topic which the book covers. If you go into Waterstones there will always be several copies of these around, and you know they will be on your reading list. This book is very interesting becuase it covers the most important roots of political philosophy as we have come to understand it today. Even the cover depicting ancient Greek wrestling thoughtfully reminds the reader that this book is going to be a contest between different philosophies -and fortunately, it is not a one-sided contest. The scope of the book is impressive. Similarly to the PLATO to NATO courses on offer at universities, Wolff considers the most important progressions in political thought from Plato to John Rawls ...
