Advantages: Entertaining for hours
Disadvantages: not many games about these days for it

I have had this product now for about 6/7 years and it still works perfectly, no problems at all. (in fact, one of my games went through the washing machine and works as though it is new!!!) My brother had a gameboy but got a gameboy colour for his birthday, i was given his gameboy the next month for my bithday, i got one game with it and that was the only original gameboy game i own to date. Nintendo with all it's success needed to take a fall. Maybe it was coming sooner rather thatn later. Virtual Boy was that fall. It was not by all means bad. It was also not that good. Virtual Boy was a headset worn by the user with a control pad attached to it. The set itself was quite heavy and not the thing to carry around with you. The red colour also didn't suit Nintendo's style. The unit displayed infra red to the user's eyes. A good idea but ...
...mistake. They made the mistake of not trying out the console before developing many of them. The public didn't like it. I didn't like it. So Nintendo sold them off cheap with stacks of games to patch up the embarrassment. What a shame the Virtual Boy could've been so good. ... Read review

Advantages: compact, MP3 & MP4 playback, huge variety of games, lightweight
Disadvantages: sound could be a little louder - can be hard to hear if used in crowded environment

The PSP Slim is an amazing hand held console, without a doubt ,the best hand held on the market at the moment. It has many features including MP3 & MP4 playback, Internet capabilities, USB port, camera software (although the camera add on is not included with the psp), abilty to save, and many other functions. ...My advice is to not buy a PSP from a store, but to buy one online from E-Bay in order to obtain a PSP that has been uploaded with custom firmware. This will then upen up whole new gaming capabilites, enabling you to be able to download and play a variety of homebrew games by saving them to the PSP's memory stick.
