Gameboy Advance To The Future!
Review of Nintendo GameBoy Advance by
Haxrskilz
Advantages: It's in colour, duh!
Disadvantages: Quiet, no cool style tretris like the original Gameboy..
Although it would seem to be an old piece of kit now-a-days, I can't help but wonder what I would have been like without having a GameBoy Advance to help me through those boring airport terminals, or ridiculously long coach journeys. Of course, it was only on holiday that I used the GameBoy - using it any other time just didn't seem right! At the time, it was a magnificent mesh of modern and old, the mixture of new colours and shapes with the old ... ...mine is stowed away, waiting for a day to reappear, and it is still in working order. The graphics, sound and games may not be much, but they are fun to get nostalgic with! This is definitely going to be one of those retro toys to return in a few years time, and when that time comes, I'll be there waiting with my tacky plastic backlight, and interchangeable-various-colours-covers to auction away.. ;] ...

Great!
Review of Nintendo Gameboy Advance SP by
imacdude123
Advantages: Games are good, long battery life, etc
Disadvantages: Lack of addon attachments
The gameboy Advance SP has a great range of games and great graphics. Sound was OK but a bit tinny. It also lacks a Headphone Port.
Its also very durable and I have dropped mine many times. No more than a few scratches! Its also rather nice looking and comfortable to hold. Battery life was very good as well. Up to 18 hours on full charge! There are loads of games out there to play. Any game I have bought I still play all the time. The one thing ...

Retro gamers take note
Review of Power Joy TV Game Pad by
nwilson
Advantages: A cheap way to addictive gaming
Disadvantages: Don't expect any fancy graphics
The Power Boy TV game pad consists of a green and red coloured joypad, in the PlayStation style, with a lead coming out of it. Just plug that lead into your TV, choose the correct channel and 127 classic games will be at your disposal immediately. Graphically, this belongs in a museum. Playability wise, there is enough variety of 8-bit 2 dimensional games to keep retro-gamers entertained for hours.
The Game Pad plugs straight into the AV or Scart ... ...will need 3 x AA batteries (not supplied), although a 6 volt AC mains adapter would be a better long-term option (again, not supplied).
All the games are one-player games, and they include such classics as Space Invaders, River Crossing, Hyper Sport, Galaxian, and yes – Tetris is also there.
For £20 this would make an ideal gift for those of a certain age, who can re-live their youth through their TV with no hassle of buying a console and ...

Nintendo wii is Great
Review of Nintendo Wii by
ITL101
Advantages: Great gameplay
Disadvantages: The graphics aren't as good as XBOX or PS3 but still quite good.
...people playing at once. The Nintendo wii is the first of its kind and even though the graphics occasionally let it down it is a must have when you've got younger children. I am a teenager myself and i still love it, my 5 year old brother is addicted to it. We have had one for 4 months and we are torn between this and the xbox 360. This is definitley value for money.
Each wii comes with wii sports already installed. This includes wii golf, wii boxing, ...

Sony PSP
Review of Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) Slim & Lite by
MattUtd
Advantages: Great portable media player. Ideal for Games & Movies
Disadvantages: Not so good as an MP3 player as a little bulky.
This is an ideal portable console/MP3 Player and MP4 Player for all. Since having the PSP I no longer find myself bored whilst on the train to work. I generally use it for gaming and watching movies. The gameplay/graphics are awesome for such a small device. The added bonus of the PSP is that you can switch it off and when you switch it back on again it allows you to play where you left off even if this is half way through a football match.
As for ... ...have a large enough memory card, you can load MP4 files and watch movies on the go with the PSP. I don't really use the PSP as an MP3 player as it's a little too bulky for the pocket. I don't think this is the main benefit of the PSP but the option's there.
I would recommend this to anyone who's travelling a lot and it combines all you need in a portable media player. ...
