superb

Advantages: longlasting wear, comfort
Disadvantages: none so far

...month ago i came across air optix (monthly disposables ) and could not believe ... Inspite of filling rubbery and a bit hard(ish) when you wear them they settle down quickly ( you do not have to blink all the time) and so light and comfortable. And they last exactly month or sometimes even longer(not advisable) compare with others (2-3 weeks maximum - even they supposed to be for a month!) My live is changed since then. ...

20:20 vision 24 hours a day

Advantages: Next best thing to perfect vision! Most hygenic option
Disadvantages: Can dry out sometimes, can be costly, not suitable for all

Purevision are a disposable soft contact lens that you can wear continuously for 30 days. This review is aimed at those who already wear contact lenses, as I doubt that anyone would use continuous wear lenses as their very first lenses. I have a fairly strong prescription (-7.50). I have been using Purvision continuous wear lenses for nearly 4 years now. I've been wearing contact lenses generally for around 17 years, gradually moving from pemanent ...
...I find them absolutely fabulous. I found that with non-disposable lenses my eyes were not getting enough oxygen and blood vessels started growing across my cornea. I also had higher calcium and protein deposits on my lenses than average. So I made the switch to monthly disposables, which sorted the problem out. When I decided to go on a 5 month backpacking trip through the middle east, I decided to look into continuous wear lenses for several reasons: ...

Affordable lenses

Advantages: cheap, convenient, easy to get hold of
Disadvantages: slight eye irritation

I have been wearing contact lenses for the past 12 years and have tried all brands and types. Most gave me eye infections and general irritations. Eventually I found these monthly disposable lenses. They last just about the correct time for me and I no longer suffer from eye problems. There's no protein removal involved and I use an all in one clean and disinfecting system. Give them a quick rub with your solution and store for the night. The prices ...
...a month especially if you buy them from an online or mail order company. Get you optician to give your latest prescription, be forceful about this, it's the law for him/her to supply you with one. They are just so convenient if you can't afford the daily disposable lenses. A disadvantage to these lenses is that because they contain UV blocking agents is that they can cause dryness of the eye if worn for very long periods and you may need to use lubricating ...

Time consuming and unconftable

Advantages: You dont need to wear the dreaded by some, glasses
Disadvantages: Many...

I had always fancied having Contact lenses as I dont really suit glasses and thought this option would be perfect. A contact lense that I could wear and remove when I need to (ie bed) and put them back in when needed but the whole contact lense thing was so much more difficult that i thought. At first i found the contact lense quite unconfy and was if something was scratching my eye, something the options said would go as it was just my eyes ajusting. ...
...returning to the options they said to me that my eyes were worse that what they should have been and gave me some 2 weekly contact lenses, i had the same problem with these, my vision seemed to be clear and then get more fussy as i focussed on certain things, this was something that i was not impressed with as i was paying around 15 pounds a month for this when glasses were the much cheaper option. There were many restictions when wearing contacts, ...

Drawbacks to contact lenses

Advantages: Does away with glasses - some of the time !
Disadvantages: Doesn't mean you can throw your specs away !

I have worn glasses for many years, being shortsighted. I recently decided to try contact lenses, mainly because I do a lot of photography now that I am retired. Using an SLR camera was a bit of a pain wearing glasses. If I had my glasses on, I couldn't really see through the viewfinder very well, if I took my glasses off I could adjust the eyepiece on the camera to get good vision, but as soon as I stopped looking through the eyepiece everything ...
...a pain in the rain ! I have tried three different types of contact lenses from Specsavers, the first pair were OK for about 50% of the time the rest of the time my vision seemed to vary from OK, to my thinking that the lenses had fallen out - which they hadn't ! The second pair (SiH 48) were an improvement (80 + %), but I am now on Easyvision. These I find to be absolutely fine, my vision is spot on, dare I say it, 100% of the time. After I have ...
