I noticed an immediate improvement in grip both in wet and dry conditions, but particularly in the wet, though some of that will naturally be due to ... ...new ones.
These Continentals are asymmetric but non-directional, which does have the advantage that you do not have to take heed of the direction of rotation - useful if you need to fit the spare. The original Bridgestones were directional, and inevitably the puncture I had was on the wrong side to the rotational direction of the spare, so I was keen that their eventual replacements would be non-directional.
