I've had two of these units for about 8 months now. As my new computer has three hard drives built in, it wasn't feasible to put two of my old drives from my old computer in the new case buy I couldn't be bothered transfering so much data (plus the old drives were 350 and 400 gig anyway) and so I decided to just my put old drives in a couple of these and increase my storage and solve my problem in an easy and cheap way. Disadvantages: Can over heat if left on for serveral hours at a time.

The Akasa Integral external storage enclosure, is a great device for individuals who wish to perhaps expand there laptop with more hard disc drive space, or perhaps for those who wish to retrieve the data from a damaged laptop, that still has a working hard drive.
