Wish your hard drive could become an external hard drive? ICY BOX

Advantages: Easy to use, install and transfer data.
Disadvantages: Don't take all the screws out at once otherwise it falls apart.

For those of you that don't know, an ICY BOX is a case that you put an internal hardrive in and it becomes an external harddrive. I ordered mine from amazon after my computer burnt out and no other computer that I had would read my sata harddrives, in desperation I ordered an ICY BOX off the internet with next day delivery. It arrived in the post the next day, in the box there was the aluminium ICY BOX case, a stand, screws (various), power adaptor, ...
...a double ended sata cable and a Sata component that can be put in the back of a PC to plug a sata cable into. It was very easy to put my harddrive in, I simply unscrewed the screws on each corner and slided my hardrive onto the board inside. I then screwed the top back on, flipped it over then put 4 screws in the back to hold the Harddrive to the case. On the side of the ICY BOX there are 3 cable slots and a power button. Turn your internal into an external with ease

Advantages: Easy to use, stays cool, good speed and generous cables
Disadvantages: the screws are a little on the small side but they do the job

The EU-M10C is like locking my door & setting an alarm!

Advantages: Complete security, great performance, decent price
Disadvantages: Loss of key & cannot duplicate

speed 3500 - nice looking black external enclosure

Advantages: nice finish, easy to use
Disadvantages: like all 3.5" enclosure, u need external power supply

...almost never turn it off (so as my pc) , yet i never have a problem with overheating (yet?) . think Tsunami is make nice quality enclosure these days. Will try out more of their samples from my shops before moving onto something else that catch my attention. ...
