AEG-Electrolux D98000VFM - Electric Cooker

Advantages: Double Oven, easy clean, very easy to use, good functionality
Disadvantages: Touch controls are quite sensitive, fault codes are not obvious

Disaster - 2 weeks before Chrismas my cooker blew up and with all the family coming to visit I had to buy and get one installed really quick. I popped into John Lewis (never knowingly undersold) and instantly fell for this cooker. My main selection criteria was, it had to be electric, 2 ovens, good branding, 5 year warranty, look good and be delivered for Christmas. It ticked all the boxes and I went ahead with the purchase. It's Getting Hot In Here!!!!!!

Advantages: Great Quality Oven
Disadvantages: Energy Rating 'B'

When our old oven finally gave up the ghost after 6 years of good service we went out to Comet to order a brand new one and after considering many different styles and designs we settled on the EAG D21004 double oven which set us back a quiet high £400.00. Delivery was reasonable as it arrived after 12 day's and it was very easy to self install. Being a standard sized double oven it slide straight into the oven housing we already had in our kitchen ...

FRAMTID CG7 formerly PRO A10. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS OVEN.

Advantages: Looks good, easy to clean
Disadvantages: Too many to mention

...a new seal and only Whirlpool have them. They also take at least 2 WEEKS to supply and charge you delivery. Not good in my opinion. Spare parts are extremely difficult to obtain and cost the earth. Two other problems.... The gas burners lack power in terms of the gas flame heat. The biggest burner actually has the heat and power of a SMALL burner on a regular sized gas hob. I cannot get a really intense boil of water or anything else on the largest ...

Neff is the real chef in our house ... Neff built in oven U1442

Advantages: Lots of different functions available
Disadvantages: Difficult to clean in the hard to reach areas

Britannia Dynasty 110 range cooker. Smaller than it looks.

Advantages: Chef top, 6 further gas burners. Looks great. Multi-function oven.
Disadvantages: Very small interior to main oven, very difficult to clean hob and oven floor. Expensive.

...of the products in the Britannia cleaning kit (expensive) seems to actually bring cooking carbon off the chrome rings or the brass burners - best product I have found is Astonish. Also it is really difficult to simmer anything - even on the lowest setting, food burns in the pans, except perhaps the very small rings at the front - not helpful when you have more than two things on the go at once!
