Beko DG582 Gas Cooker

Advantages: Cheap, small, good gas burners.
Disadvantages: Doesn't get hot enough, cant roast potatoes and chiken at the same time.

I bought this cooker two months ago when we moved into our new house, the cooker in the house was ancient and had been condemned and we needed another one immediately to use for a while until we have a new kitchen installed. It ticked a lot of boxes, so I thought, it was very cheap, fitted into the small space the old one had been in and has a separate grill. In reality, it is awful. I can't fault the burners which work fine, however the knobs turn ...
...other appliance I've ever used, thus it is very easy to turn the knobs anti-clockwise thinking you were turning them off but they are actually just down at the lowest setting but still on, very dangerous. BEKO slot in Double oven DVG695

Advantages: Main oven heats up nice and quick
Disadvantages: Shame there's no stay clean linings in the oven.

I puchased this cooker about a year ago when I had a new kitchen fitted and wanted something that looked sleek, and stylish. Installation was easy, and I was impressed by the added safety feature at the reverse of the appliance of two safety chains which you have to drill holes for and attach to the wall. The appliance also has 4 burners of various sizes which enables you to chose the best one according to the size of saucepan you are using and ...
...and free of dust but also when the lid is down the controls are not functionable.(which if you have children, especially toddlers who may touch the knobs is a great safety feature.The appliance can't be switched on without the lid up!) A great little cooker!

Advantages: Good price, excellent facilities
Disadvantages: I haven't found any yet!

We both took a look at the web site and checked that the specifications were what we wanted and it looked great so we said yes. ...ovens are a B rating so not as good as an A obviously but good enough. The cooker was delivered on time and fitted by our electrician. Incidentally there are adjustable feet on the bottom of the cooker to ensure that the whole thing is level when it is installed. So the saucepans won't be sliding off then! Stoves - NEVER AGAIN

Advantages: when it works, it works well
Disadvantages: but when something goes wrong it is a nightmare

The glass of our Stoves oven was inadvertently cracked by a plumber during a routine gas inspection in October and we had to order a new outer door for the oven. We did this mid OCTOBER and the current delivery estimate is not until mid DECEMBER - that is we are without an oven for at least 2 months and quite possibly without one for Christmas.
