Well worth the money
Advantages: Looks, quality, excellent to cook with Disadvantages: For me none
I bought this cooker after having to have a another branded cooker uplifted. I have to say looking around you can buy a cooker at a fraction of the price but decided initially to spend around £600 so as to get something of reasonable quality.
Unfortunately this was not how it ended with the first cooker being of dreadful build quality and not great to cook with. I had seen this before but ruled it out because it was a little more than I wanted to ... ...it to the one I had to have sent back I was sold and without even discussing it with the wife I just ordered it. When I showed her the picture she was not convinced, that was until it was delivered!
Totally and utterly thrilled with it did not think about the cost at all as the quality totally out weighs it. They say you get what you pay for and this is a good example of this.
I can't comment on other top branded makes but this compared to the ...

Cause you're hot then you're cold.
Advantages: It looks good. Disadvantages: Colds spots in ovens. Customer service is rubbish. Engineers like their belt buckles.
...it returned but I called Stoves to give them a chance to fix it. They arranged an engineer to come out but the new lid would be sent separately. The engineer came before the lid! He told me to call back when the lid arrived.
A couple of days later the lid arrived with the engineeer a couple of days after that. He opened the box and the lid was smashed so he got on the phone to order another. After another wait I found myself with another lid and ... ...to leave and I called Stoves again. They actually apologised and asked me if the scratch was noticeable enough to see it. "Err, yes, I saw it, that's why I'm calling, would I be calling if I didn't see it?". They arranged another lid and I asked them to arrange an engineer without a belt buckle.
Finally it was fixed, my cooker was up and running.
Now the cooker itself. I purchased the silver one with chrome handles and a black hob. Its supposed ...

Good but with a small problem...
Advantages: Looks expensive, solid and cooks well. Disadvantages: A more expensive alternative to a standard kitchen appliance.
...quite decently priced for a SMEG appliance.
We decided to have a small gathering to show our friends our new kitchen and we were going to use the oven to make a meal however we were disappointed that it was quite difficult to actually use.
It took about 3 hours for it to warm up and cook a pizza which should take about 30 minutes at the most.
We contacted SMEG and they sent an engineer out to fix it within 2 days and the problem was rectified.

An absolute lifesaver in the kitchen and very simple.
Advantages: Very good value for money. Disadvantages: The knobs are a bit fiddly to keep looking clean.
Myself an dmy partner bought this cooker from currys for a very reasonable £500 6 weeks ago. I was very rusty on my cooking and baking but so far I have managed some very good cooking from doing quick meals to experimental stir frys, casseroles to baking, and all to very good results. I feel it is easy to use, very efficient, great value for money and a dream to clean and keep clean! It looks stylish and has a lot of space as it is a double oven ...

Zanussi ZBF560X
Advantages: Easy to use Disadvantages: Smokey, bad quality.
We had this oven fitted in our kitchen when we moved into it 7 months ago, it was brand new when we started renting the flat, and since then we've had a few problems with it. For starters, after just a couple of months, the timer buttoms on the front fell out, and although they're easy to fit back in, its not a good sign! As well as this, the door on the front dropped by about an inch on one side, which means when it cooks the smoke can escape through ... ...don't think this is something which is good!!! It gets very very smokey despite been correctly cleaned every week, which i think is a problem with the fan. One good thing, is that when we approached Zanussi about the problems they were happy to come out very quickly to service the oven, but to be fair it shouldnt have the problems in the first place! The oven is very easy to use, the timer is a simple and efficent system of just pressing a simple ...
