Great looking cooker and really easy to use

Advantages: slow cook feature, half grill option, stay clean liners and interior light in oven
Disadvantages: Grill can be a bit slow to warm up

The cremic top has four hobs and visual lights to indicate which hobs are in use and stay lit until the hobs are cool enough to touch. Abysmal attitude from Indesit/Hotpoint when faulty

Advantages: cheap whilst it lasted
Disadvantages: Contempt for customer when it goes wrong

Purchased direct from Indesit warehouse. The element of the main oven, which was only used some week-ends, went after 2 1/2 years. I found out that it was not fitted straight and was touching the back panel! Phone call to Indesit/Hotpoint, spoke to a rude woman who said it was out of warranty. Exchange of emails, I pointed out my consumer rights and they replied I should contact the retailer. I pointed out they were the retailer as I purchased ...
...I wrote to the Managing Director personally (Marco Marini). Got a reply 10 days later, telling me they would repair at a cost of £99 for labour and the part would be free. As for the element touching the back panel? The letter said that failing elements can bend ... Yeah right .. It's a round, double loop element. In conclusion: in my opinion I was supplied with shoddy, unsafe goods and Indesit want to charge me hundred quid to fix their mess. ...

Hotpoint EW84

Advantages: easy to clean, having 2 ovens, and intelligent systems for certain types of cooking
Disadvantages: top oven takes longer to cook than anticipated

This was my first experience with an electric cooker and to be honest it took a little while to get used to it. The hob elements do take longer than expected to heat up but when they do, they work perfectly and the safety mechanism kicks in to prevent the glass from getting too hot when left on and not in use. It is also very easy to clean. Having 2 ovens is ideal, especially when cooking large quantities of food which need different temperatures. ...
...to cook - unsure if this is if the temperature control is not quite hot enough. I have only used the cake and meat 'intelligent options and found the temperatures to be spot on. The others I have not used and feel unlikely to do so, these are for poultry and fish. Britannia Dynasty 110 range cooker. Smaller than it looks.

Advantages: Chef top, 6 further gas burners. Looks great. Multi-function oven.
Disadvantages: Very small interior to main oven, very difficult to clean hob and oven floor. Expensive.

...of the products in the Britannia cleaning kit (expensive) seems to actually bring cooking carbon off the chrome rings or the brass burners - best product I have found is Astonish. Also it is really difficult to simmer anything - even on the lowest setting, food burns in the pans, except perhaps the very small rings at the front - not helpful when you have more than two things on the go at once! The really worst thing is the tiny size of the main ...
