very pleasing

Advantages: compact and easy to clean
Disadvantages: grill a bit slow to heat up

Bought this cooker about 6 months ago and I am very pleased with it so far. It has a ceramic hob which heats up very quickly and is so easy to keep clean. The hob also has lights on the top of the cooker to say which ring is on and the light stays on, after turning the ring off, until the surface has cooled down. Cheap and cheerful.

Advantages: Very cheap.
Disadvantages: Basic functionality.

I work in the rail industry and we had one of these cookers bought for us as part of a signal box refurbishment.Previously we had one of the old two ring Baby Belling cookers and this cookers falls into that style of cooker. Indesit KP9508 - Huge cooker, and Huge value.

Advantages: Large oven, 5 hobs, wok hob, quick to cook food.
Disadvantages: Only one shelf in oven, easy to burn food in pans.

Neff is the real chef in our house ... Neff built in oven U1442

Advantages: Lots of different functions available
Disadvantages: Difficult to clean in the hard to reach areas

Britannia Dynasty 110 range cooker. Smaller than it looks.

Advantages: Chef top, 6 further gas burners. Looks great. Multi-function oven.
Disadvantages: Very small interior to main oven, very difficult to clean hob and oven floor. Expensive.

...of the products in the Britannia cleaning kit (expensive) seems to actually bring cooking carbon off the chrome rings or the brass burners - best product I have found is Astonish. Also it is really difficult to simmer anything - even on the lowest setting, food burns in the pans, except perhaps the very small rings at the front - not helpful when you have more than two things on the go at once!
