dfg905 cooker, load of rubbish

Advantages: none
Disadvantages: it burns everything in the oven

we have owned a delonghi range cooker dfg905 for almost 2 years and while the hob is ok the oven most certainly is not .Everything we cook in the oven gets burnt on the bottom ,we have lost count of the food that has been thrown away due to this. We are now considering getting a new cooker and cutting our losses, it wont be anything made by de longhi. has anyone else had this problem orr is it just us. we are both over 60 and have many years cooking ...

Advantages: Looks good, easy to clean
Disadvantages: Too many to mention

...a new seal and only Whirlpool have them. They also take at least 2 WEEKS to supply and charge you delivery. Not good in my opinion. Spare parts are extremely difficult to obtain and cost the earth. Two other problems.... The gas burners lack power in terms of the gas flame heat. The biggest burner actually has the heat and power of a SMALL burner on a regular sized gas hob. I cannot get a really intense boil of water or anything else on the largest ...

Neff is the real chef in our house ... Neff built in oven U1442

Advantages: Lots of different functions available
Disadvantages: Difficult to clean in the hard to reach areas

Britannia Dynasty 110 range cooker. Smaller than it looks.

Advantages: Chef top, 6 further gas burners. Looks great. Multi-function oven.
Disadvantages: Very small interior to main oven, very difficult to clean hob and oven floor. Expensive.

...of the products in the Britannia cleaning kit (expensive) seems to actually bring cooking carbon off the chrome rings or the brass burners - best product I have found is Astonish. Also it is really difficult to simmer anything - even on the lowest setting, food burns in the pans, except perhaps the very small rings at the front - not helpful when you have more than two things on the go at once! Stoves - NEVER AGAIN

Advantages: when it works, it works well
Disadvantages: but when something goes wrong it is a nightmare

The glass of our Stoves oven was inadvertently cracked by a plumber during a routine gas inspection in October and we had to order a new outer door for the oven. We did this mid OCTOBER and the current delivery estimate is not until mid DECEMBER - that is we are without an oven for at least 2 months and quite possibly without one for Christmas.
