Advantages: good art materials Disadvantages: expensive
IT was my daughter's sixth birthday recently and we had an arty party at home to celebrate. Twelve girls came and they had a number of arty projects that they could complete. One of these activities was to decorate a mini porcelaincup using either stickers or pens. I therefore had to look in to buying some 'porcelain pens' so I went to my trusted yellowmoon.org website. I could choose between a fine tip set, a pearlised set or a brilliant set. I opted for the brilliant porcelain pen set as they looked the most bright and colourful and they also had the description of being 'probably the best porcelain pens on the planet!'
There are six different coloured pens in the set - black, green, red, orange, yellow and blue. These are apparently all filled with high gloss water-based liquid paint. They are described as porcelain pens but they ...
Advantages: Simple, cheap, effective Disadvantages: The timer can be hard to read in boiling water
Soft boiling an egg should be easy, just chuck an egg into boiling water for three minutes, or it four? Do you put the eggs into the water when it is cold or wait till it has boiled? I'm sure that I would get a different answer each time I searched and my eggs either ended up too runny with horrible sloppy whites or rock hard.
I was in Poundland one day and saw the Egg Perfect Colour Changing Egg Timer. I've spent loads of money on useless kitchen gadgets in the past and wasn't sure if this was going to end up unloved at the back of the cupboard ...
Advantages: Great variety, amazing tatses, luxury packaging Disadvantages: price for some
~ Milk Tray ~
Milk Tray chocolates are one of my favourite boxes you can buy from Cadbury?s. This week one of our colleagues brought a box in for us all to share. We usually have biscuit Fridays but this week it was chocolate. I only ever see boxes like this really at Christmas time. We never buy boxes otherwise and I hadn?t had Milk ray for years. Due to the demand and high quality the box was pretty much gone by noon. You have to be quick in this place, as soon as you?re offered you have to take one or you won?t get a chance. Even those on a diet can?t resist one of these cheeky choc?s. I am not a huge fan of chocolate myself, I mean I like the stuff but if I had to choose out of a bar of chocolate and sweets it wouldn?t be the chocolate.
~ Where did it come from? ~
