Advantages: A read when you want something easy to digest. Disadvantages: Flawed by Perfectionism.
a fictional place, and she does it well, although I would not rate her amongst great writers, more well publicised writers and ones who know what sells.
After the arrest of Ariana by the Reich, she goes through experiences that can only be imagined by the reader, and Danielle Steele made a pretty good job of detail. You do get pulled into feeling sorry for the herione and saddened by World War history and the lives that it affected. Ariana starts to work as a cook for a German Nazi Officer. Now here, I was less than convinced that love could put aside the hatred that must have been all too apparent during these horrific times. Would it really be likely that a young beautiful female would fall in love with one of the killers of her family ? I am not too convinced with this part of the story, although Danielle Steel makes it work.
